I didn’t know you could do that I’ve been looking at grand Marquis and many of them have the vinyl roof which I don’t like. I did not realize that there was painted metal underneath them now you got me thinking That I could do this.

That’s one of the two reasons we did this; because that roof was trashed and to show others what the process and end result is.

I know you checked the fuse box for defective fuses. The early to mid late ninties fords, lincolns and mercurys were well known for popping a fuse or two. My inlaws at the time as were always trading up every two model years in either a big ford or mercury / lincoln their town car in 89 had issues with the sky roof and windows within the first year they bought it brand new. Just saying. Good luck with your project.

For the door locks? I actually didn’t because you literally couldn’t even push the lock down on the bad ones. Those motors were frozen.

@@stage0garage Might explain why the 1990 I just got has no front power locks, but the rear ones work fine. Also, never roll the windows down all the way, they'll get stuck there and you have to remove the motor and push it back up a little bit manually. Sucks, but I dunno what to do about it.

There was a time our first and only ‘classic’ cars we had were 240’s (had 3) so probably why reece likes the boxes.
