Might want to ad a piece of at to mid hardness neoprene between the tank and straps. Keeps the straps from wearing into the tank.

Cool! I have an old dodge 318 LA. I think the original ignition is toast. It would breakup at higher rpm. Now it doesnt work at all. Which distributor do you recommend?

I don't know if I missed it in video, but could you tell me what those rims are called. I think they would look killer on my 76 Volare Road Runner.
@stage0garage

They’re called sawblade rims. You can get directional ones so they point the same direction on both sides. If you look at these, they point forward on one side and back on the other. Our Cougar has directional sawblades.

Not sure if you still have it. It's AOD you don't have to shift in out it's automatic. I thought mine was bucking also but my uncle lifetime Mercury owner said it's upshifting and down shifting when you press the gas take your foot off do it it again. It's not good to do that and run it on super unleaded you will get much better performance

Setting up the hei module outside the box( the distributors).Very cool.I just brought and msd 8401 ,hei distributor coil in cap delete .Where i purchased an external oil filled 12 volt coil to replace the one in the distributor cap.For coil heat reasons that gradually destroy the epoxy filled hei coil( layer shorting) in cap which slowly destroys the hei ignition module in distributor i hear.Car runs better than it did in a long time.Had to touch the hood of car to see if engine was still running.What does that tell you.Any way nice modifications,awsome idea and video.

My ignition is all stock Mopar except the coil, that's pextronics. My fuel system is a mechanical Cater, 3 filters lines are wrapped with special fuel line wrapped. 850 Thermo quad rebuild by me. It runs like a dream. And the starter is a modern denso from newer Mopar.

the smoothness of the Slant Six is a great paring to the ultra-smooth transverse torsion bar FMJ cars.
@HelpingHand-ic4wt
@HelpingHand-ic4wt 3 ай бұрын
The transverse torsion bar setup is designed to supply a good amount of "deflection". That is when the wheel hits a bump and is pushed rearward, as the speaker was mentioning. It's one of the most effective means of neutralizing Noise Vibration & Harshness. When new, these cars were advertised as having near full-sized car ride quality, and that's when a full sized Chrysler had a 124'' wheelbase. This 2 door Aspen is on a 108" wheelbase, the four doors were 112.5''.
