I’ve just removed the inner lining of my GT Air and washed it on a delicate cycle with a small amount of detergent. I left the lining parts on a coffee table under a ceiling fan overnight and it was dry in about 12 hours. It smells much fresher now. Removing and reinstoring the lining was very easy as the clips line up exactly and don’t tear away from the lining. It’s pretty much a job of following the bouncy ball. I also noted the high quality of the clips and stitching in the lining. I’ll be sticking with Shoei in the future.

My Shoei neotech 2 is four years old. Just now removing all the bits and washing them with bar soap. First time. Oh my, were they cruddy.

I took the padding out of my Shoei Hornet ADV no problem, but can't get it back in. How about showing us how to do that?

I am unable to unclip the back neck cradle section of the lining. It seems pretty fixed in place. Model: Qwest

Lol... that was easy! I thought I was gonna rip something if I pulled too hard. Thanks lad ;)

Thanks, but my Neotec I (modular) also has a kind of "curtain" attached to the chin section, I can't manage to remove it. I see the model you're holding doesn't have one.

Yeah, and then they glued the liner into the rf-1000. When the liner is gone you have to bin the helmet. Thanks Shoei!

how do you remove the liner of the gt air. it has a chin guard on it and the instruction manual tells your to remove it before removing the cheek pads. all videos i've seen show that the cheek pads come out first. ...Please advise

You can pull on the sides of the chin curtain and they should pop out. I found loosening the cheek pads first to be helpful.

Hi, I am from Bali, Indoneaia. I've got an old VFX-DT Prestone, can I dismantle the foam as I want to wash and repaint the helmet. I got no problem when take of the linnjng but the foam seems to be very hard to dismantle. Thank you.

Hey, Paul! I don't really get how to remove things from Shoei Raid 2 Helmet... It seems to be different from what's on your video, since I don't have clips on the backside. Couldn't find it anywhere, so it would be really great if you find time to help. Thanks!

What model is that ? Is the RF 1000 that easy ?

I have the Shoei RYD, it has the buttons on the checkpads so I can remove it there, but it seems to be stuck to the edge of the helmet so I can't remove them. Is it possible they can't be removed on this helmet?

Hi, the cheek pad is removable so may be worth your retailer taking a look for you. Also due to the age of the helmet it is now time to start considering a replacement.

I took the cheek pad out of my xr1000 and now I can not get it to snap back into place? Is there a trick to it. I have ordered identical replacement pads and they don't fit either?

by a chance, does anybody knows where can I find a XR-1000 center pad?

Ok, once you got that out. Then what is the best way to clean that?Washing detergent allowed? How to dry?
@damianblu2 жыл бұрын
Petroleum free shampoo or specific helmet cleaner. Place in well ventilated area to dry.

whoa - slow it down a bit fella. There is no doubt you are fast but this is a training video for people who have never done it before and if we did it that fast on first attempt then 50% of us would damage the helmet in some way

Very much agree. Lots more close-ups and relaxed pace required. We don't do this on a daily basis, ya know.
