Bunch of idiots who conflate "thinking for oneself" with "taking the opposite position of the 'mainstream' automatically even if that position is 'war crimes are bad, actually'". And ironically, if everyone would just think for a moment, support for Ukraine fits far better with conservative / libertarian ideals than liberal ones!

That's my thing. Did we collectively just forget about the atrocity that was the Vietnam war? The one of a handful of wars that were started without a declaration of war by congress because it was considered to be a "police action"? The one where we drafted everyone who wasn't in college or a politician. The war where we sent people who were deemed mentally slow (Project 100,000) and couldn't even understand how to throw a grenade? Also the war where we waged flat out chemical warfare (napalm and agent orange) that still plagues people to this day. The one where we bombed a neighboring country (Cambodia) and kicked off a genocide? I hate Putin. But I won't throw stones from a glass house. I like almost all of Remy's content. But this was quite biased IMO.
@juangalton999 Жыл бұрын
@desertlightning7335 Agreed. The Vietnam War was a sham and never should have happened. Politicians love to spin any sort of conflict for their reelection though. This whole Ukrainian conflict is a lot more complicated than "Putin is a bad guy". Ukraine has a slew of war crimes and questionable practices that are being ignored in the mainstream news. I just hate that it's another conflict for political reasons and Ukrainian and Russian citizens are forced to play along with their politicians' demands.
