REN - “Crutch” l Reaction

It was written & recorded in 2015. He was painfully thin and had suffered some psychotic episodes a few months earlier. Bibi was his GF at the time and he was afraid that he was going to lose his mind, and also Bibi. He had still not been diagnosed with Lyme Disease and he expected to die. He knew he needed Bibi's support as his "crutch" but at the same time he didn't want her to witness his deterioration. It is a heart-breakingly beautiful song and it amazes me that he was able to create it when he was so very ill

Rocky got her name up right this time 😁. It’s wild that people are getting mad at you for doing your thing 😂 Bibi had to leave in the end because her own mental health was being affected, there is no hard feelings from Ren. Bibi also set up the Gofundme to get him to his first lot of treatments

People say they will be there, only to bail in the end, always! I feel my body dying, I have stage 4 liver disease and it is only going to get worse!

That was Ren's first girlfriend. She left for Australia. She had to leave Ren to preserve her own sanity.

Second girlfriend. His first was Joe's cousin when he was still at University. They met in Bath in the street and discovered the connection they both had to Joe and they shared that tragedy Bibi was a friend of his sister who kind of set up a date unknown to Ren in Brighton a little later. It's all in his Chapters

Crutch is a bit of a gem. Well done cup of Ren. The film work is top notch, to get those "skin scapes" so finely focused that you can even see individual hairs! Crutches can break? It's not just tough on the sick boi, it's tough on the people around. Keep being you, you're doing fine. My only issue is with the Twitter/X thing. Don't know why you lean over to that? You're promoting a very toxic platform and allowing it to super seed this one! Why?

Twitter/X is only as toxic as people want to make it. It's the only platform where all walks of life inhabit space to debate, insult, support, argue, propagandise, etc. Unlike other platforms, there are few bubbles. As usual, great reaction ladies 👍
