This is one of the most one sided battles ive seen in a decade. Not bothering with a beat was a great touch. Edit: Also Ren is a tremendously nice guy, but he's not going to convince me Dotta isn't mid. His flow patterns and the complexity of his bars really needs to improve. But Ren is right that Dotta CAN rap, hes got some bars and he's on the beat. But this wasn't even close to close.

Something most people won't realize is important are the flowers Ren's holding. There is an entire dictionary of meaning in flowers. In this case, he held chrysanthemums--which represent death--ferns--which represent sorrow--and olive branches--which represent peace. The Victorians would have read that as a message... essentially: "I feel sorrow for your death, but/and I wish for Peace." Our Boy told us his message before he spoke a word. Then he spoke in a way that made it crystal clear.

I was wondering what Ren was going to do. Knox didn't leave anything on the table, then came back and stole the table. Ren battled, but then he reminded us that Hip Hop was a counter culture. And in a culture of divisiveness, Kindess is the counter culture. Bringing Hip Hop back to the counter culture side. Knox took the table, but Ren brought it back, and invited folks to it. He played the game, played it well, then offered a hand in friendship. Excellent form! Killed with kindness....

Ren is just different. He went into the battle rap ring not afraid to go toe-to-toe with Dotta, but then flipped the script and stayed true to his message of unity. The world would be a much better place if more were like Ren. Even Dotta gave him props on his page. There won’t be another round in the Ren battle, but Dotta said he will be responding to Knox in a round 2. RedTop Reactions even called Dotta on his livestream after watching the battle and Dotta said he was laughing at the cake line 😹 He gave Ren a lot of respect. I could see it bothered you a bit, but I think Ren went after Dotta's weight because Dotta said Ren was skinny. (And JFC, Ren is lean but ripped! He wears oversized clothes so you can't always tell, but some of us have sure noticed!) I'm a plus size gal and am not mad about it since size was already fair game. To me, Ren said, "Sure, I'll play your game, and do it better than you, but I don't really like it this way, so walk into my headspace where we all help each other." Ren exudes so much strength and self confidence and he's truly a blessing to this community. He's an inspiration to everyone and shows you that it's possible to achieve your goals and dreams, no matter how big or small they are. He isn't about division or pitting one against the other, he's about equality and unity. This is what makes him so special. Even after the things Dotta said and did(in the spirit of hip-hop or not) he still sent his massive platform to go and show Dotta love and respect. Most creator's on social media have this "mob mentality " and they enjoy siccing they're fans on anyone that disagreees with their narrative. They condone bullying without any regard for human emotions. Now, it's up to him as to what he chooses to do and where to go from here. He had about 900 followers last night and now he has almost 2k. That isn't bcuz of his crazy rap skills or because he was such a compassionate guy, it's bcuz Ren, sent them there. If you think about it could have very well went in the opposite direction if Ren wasn't the standup human being he is.
