I love REN, but I am all about hip hop. It is the culture. Dotta was solid, ren killed it!

Ren last name is Gill. Dotta went hard, but Ren ended it, at the end. Ren is not a battle rapper, but he does like to rap. Knox and Dotta both had good diss tracks But im glad you did both diss tracks. Most reactors are just one sided. Thanks for that

Great reaction, D! At first before it came out, I was hyped to defend my boi, but then I saw his comments that he was down for a bit of fun. We should have known that Ren doesn't need defending and can handle himself. I think Dotta's diss sounded good. I followed Ren's advice and went and liked and subscribed. I've donated to a gofundme Dotta had once. But I'm obsessed with Ren's musical ability and creativity. And positive message. 2023 was the year of Ren and Prof. In Prof's live stream today, he said he's waiting to do a collab with Ren! I pray that happens!

Yes many of us renegades did as Ren asked. Getting us to like and subscribe when asked was the easy part. I dont know how many Dotta was able to keep. I know I am still there. Dotta has actually begun reacting to videos, including Ren's. So far the couple I have checked out, Dotta is good at reactions. Interesting times we be livin' in.

Nice one Desiree so glad you said what you did. I knew Dotta will be in the comments,lol. 😂 The whole point was to bring people together not trash Dotta. If Ren can give him flowers, so can we. After listening to Dottas diss a few times (it always takes me more than one listen). I came to like it, good bars. A lot of Ren's fans aren't hip hop heads because Ren does all genres. btw, Ren released a track yesterday. Song with acoustic guitar. If you react to It, read Ren's description.

Desiree, first time I ever saw a rap dis where the response was negative, funny as hell and ends on the highest of notes. There have been some truly great dis tracks of late, but i genuinely love Ren's version. He is not a battle rapper, as he states. But there is heart in his message. Thank you for watching both King Dotta and Ren to understand the whole. Knox has his own dis as well as some others; they are all pretty good. Oh, best line was the dis agains MichelleShow. Fire!

The problem is that a lot of Renegades don't understand the hip hop culture. Also a lot of them are way over reactionary and a number of them are idiots and really don't understand Rens message. They use him as ammo in their little "My music artist is better than yours" disagreements. Good reaction.

You know it's actually pretty sad. Ren saw this as an opportunity to spread love and lift up another artist but a lot of his fans only concentrated on Dotta's diss, many even without giving it a listen. I can understand some of the trouble. Ren fans come from so many genres, quite a lot of them have never been interested in Rap and Hip Hop before him and quite a big percentage of those still only listen to Ren when it comes to Rap /Hip Hop. And if someone has no idea about the Battle Rap culture it's quite understandable how that person can interpret the whole thing wrong and see in Dotta's diss, and what's more the comments he left before, a genuine insult. But that's just where Ren gives us all an opportunity to learn about a sub culture we might not have come into contact with. And at the same time Ren is basically saying: Hey this talking sh*t and venting with words, damn the mere composing of it is actually fun (and that aspect of it is very real and shouldn't be underestimated! Every time I read Troilus & Cressida I am thinking about Shakespeare sitting in his room lit with candles depressed by the whole political bs and human's partially ridiculous values and simply HAVING to add Thersites into the mix, just to make everyone laugh through the power of ill-speech. Give that play a read if you find about 3 hours some day. It's depressingly funny, sarcastic, ironic and still pretty relevant) and I understand the culture - but it can also be pretty crippling and further division between people, and in a world that is not too far away from breaking down all around us we should not make light of this division but do our very best to be decent towards each other and help one another. Personally, I'm on the fence with this one. I am new to Battle Rap. I found some things that I thought were hilarious and some things I thought weren't so much. The things that were mostly hilarious surrounded the artists themselves - the challenge they set themselves to write something as witty and nasty and personal towards another person as possible - and the things I found less hilarious were mostly on the receiving end of media and fans who took the whole thing way too serious and took it as an opportunity to hate on another group of people they didn't know and hadn't ever met, just causing a whole lot of personal negativity that radiated outwards through social media. And that's were I think quite a lot of Ren fans have to do better. I see them claiming that they understand Ren and are all for his message, welcoming change within the music industry but also real social and political change, but they are actually not at all acting on that "understanding". Not all, of course, quite a few probably do, I am sure. But the negative voices (who effectively work on keeping everything as it is) surely seem to dominate. Thanks for the reaction Desiree! @@DesireesReactiverse Well, they did. Dotta was below 1K subs before Ren's diss and he jumped to 3200 the very same day Ren dropped. Now, let's get real, tho: Dotta would've been KIND of doing good back in the '90s. Dope voice, some nice bars. But his cadences and style are outdated, he can't fast rap, flow-switching is almost non-existent. Heck, he didn't even give a shot at learning how to breathe properly. To sum it up: he's been on YT for six years and only got 800 subs. Sorry to say this, but it's bout time he gets the memo. (BTW I liked the "Thank you" track Dotta dropped after the diss, which is kind of a reply and... well, the title gives away the content) ps: subscribed, I like your style
