Such a great thing that Renée Slegers is taking up a role in not only coaching the club but also by showing much needed representation, not only as a Queer woman, but also for women in managerial roles that you can combine responsibility with having a family and raising a child. Very happy that Arsenal is keeping up the success streak, and also very excited for the big match against Chelsea tomorrow.

The irony of the Emma comment is that they (Chelsea) replaced her with a coach and assistant coach who are married and also met as players on the same team. Sonia and Camille have 4 kids but are just more private with it. Cheers to love and these badass queer coaches!! Renee seems super cool and very calm, too. Great energy from her.

Sarah and Sara, regarding Emma Hayes comment that player relationships within the team were inappropriate . For a coach it must cause lot of headaches when couples are split by contractual issues such as end of contract, fitness and performance. Also I might add, when player relationships within the team breakdown. When Magda Ericsson and Pernille Harder left Chelsea they signed for Bayern- Munich as a “ package deal”. They were apart for more than 3 years till Harder joined Chelsea. It has to be problematic from that standpoint Not condoning what Hayes said, imo it was a “peripatetic slip” during those stressful final weeks of her tenure. It was obviously a problematic issue with Jess Carter and Ann - Katrin Berger.

I didn't know about Renee's family until I read the comment on the last video. Thanks to whomever posted that - you're doing God's work. My favourite part of this video was "Where is your brain?" in response to "Where is her husband?". And you're being ridiculously generous in allowing for the possibility that the question might have been in good faith rather than homophobic. It was 100% homophobic!
