Even the title is a double entendre - "Illest of our Time". He's spent 10 years severely ill with Lyme's disease and autoimmunity. He's receiving treatment in Canada right now. He's firing warning shots in this one and making sure everyone takes notice. Nice to see him showing some attitude and confidence, being a little braggadocious. I Love it. "I, want to spread these tattered wings, hold 'em high, banished from the heavens but I'm knocking on the sky"......FIRE!!!! He did a live stream right after the video dropped (on Twitch), and to see his genuine, emotional reaction to how many reaction channels had already posted videos within an hour of the songs release, was truly heartwarming. He shares his soul. This young man deserves every bit of love , support, and success he's finally getting. I couldn't be happier for him, especially for someone so talented, so driven, and without question, someone who has been forged through fire. Love this kid! Fan for life

I could be wrong, but the whole ending of this song guts me. This really resonates to anyone who's suffered to the point of wanting life (God, their illness, karma, etc.) to kill them, and realizing the path ahead won't be the release of death but more suffering and pain instead.] "Living with depression is a blessing in disguise / Never second guessing, intuition getting wise / Want to sink into the pupil of my eye / Travel to the corner of my cornea and mind" [He's gotten wise about his life, and he finds himself in an impossible place - there are no corners in a sphere/cornea.] "Look for all the answers that I never seem to find / Till then, I guess I'm still the illest of our time" [He keeps looking for answers or reasons behind his illness and suffering, but it doesn't work. He's still sick, and there's little hope that will change.] So, yeah, to me it's quite sad. Despairing. Clever though. And I liked the Tyson-biting bars that few people seem to catch, which probably means I'm old, but I would think boxer Mike Tyson biting part of Holyfield's ear off would be infamous. Great reaction. I don't mind pauses when it's because you're listening to the lyrics. I have no idea what all these comments are about. The whole point of watching a YT reaction is to get that channels' opinion, and if you don't like it, go to a different channel Why people gotta hate like that - especially anyone who claims to be a Ren fan.
