I agree with Roni, such an "All encompassing" voice, breathy and sweet but with a tough and relatable message. I guess working with Ren looks like fun but I bet he is a kind of "Get it done" kinda guy his portfolio is testament to that..

A very sad song, but an experience and one of immense depth. I have to say this performance is in my Top 3 of all of Ren tracks, I simply love Molly's voice and subbed a long time ago , I wish she had more support. Ren did say we can expect more Molly this year!!!!!!!

As you said, her voice is amazing. Beautiful and fragile. But I did need to go look at the lyrics. Ren has this way of writing a song...where the lyrics are a bit in the fog. You kind of know what it's about but it can be a struggle to determine the perspective the topic is viewed from. I can only assume that's intentional..to let the listener intertwine their interpretation with his. That's why I couldn't ever be a song writer. I couldn't let people do that and shut my mouth. I'd be on every reaction channel correcting people about what I meant. Maybe that's a broader sign that too often I feel misunderstood. Dang...now I'm analyzing myself. Curse you Ren!!! Haha. I hear ya! I don't think I could write a song. Not like Ren. Maybe like a silly pop artist with empty lyrics that are feeding the listener with a spoon. I don't have a poet in me. But I do like telling stories using different skills, so... Maybe it's another skill to try one day.

Hi Ronni, lovely reaction but trying to play acoustic guitar and sing along to this is a really big ask!!!! I think you may have misread the suggestion, and they suggested ‘Patience’ not ‘Penitence’. Patience is only played on acoustic and while it’s quite simple, unlike Penitence, it’s moving but uplifting and about not giving up and overcoming adversity. I have to smile if someone suggested playing along to Penitence, in fact it’s hilarious. Both tracks are great but at least with Patience you’ve got better than evens, whereas ‘Penitence’ you got zero chance with just an acoustic guitar and your vocals.😇 Try Patience and your in with a shout!

I’ve heard this before and do like it but I think I prefer his collaborations with Chinchilla to Molly, just a personal preference no reflection on her singing at all. Yeah it’s a bit of a painful song, maybe that’s why I’m not so keen on it!

Maybe. But also - it's a matter of taste. Chinchilla is more of a power bomb and Molly is more of a soft flow. Could also depend on the mood. I could like or not like a song because I'm in a certain mood. 🙏
