@@SohumHi Sohum, new sub here as I really enjoyed your brilliant analysis/conversation regarding Penitence. Another masterpiece by REN for sure. I’m happy that you received a comment from @mollymckinnamusic b/c it motivated me to go directly to her channel, sub & show appreciation to her as well. Keeping up with the notion “a rising tide lifts all ships” as our Ren Boi would say.😊🎶🎤🎧

Yeah, this one is hauntingly beautiful. The music is just perfect for the emotional lyrics, her voice, and the way Ren is expressing the words. This is a special one. I think a great follow up to this would be to check out one of my personal favourites: Crutch feat. Bibi. It’s an older song from before he was finally correctly diagnosed with Lyme disease and was written after a breakdown following multiple emergency trips to the hospital. It is heart wrenching and beautiful.

I love your reactions because they speak to my love of the logical world mixed with a creative mind. This reaction is at the same level of genius as REN’s lyrics. I’ve never heard anyone so cognitively ambidextrous as REN. How is it possible to combine these emotions with words , using mathematical and theoretical concepts in such a poetic way?!

I believe this song is about his breakup with Bibi, his girlfriend in the song Crutch. Ren was desperately sick and it destroyed their relationship. Ren's pen is like a dagger to the heart.

Hi Sohum, I've been scrolling through your channel and I can recommend a band and an artist, which I haven't seen you react to but think you would appreciate. If you like them and choose to post your reactions to them, I think you will see considerable growth of your channel. I would love to hear your reaction to their music. The band is called Nightwish. They are a symphonic metal band from Finland that was formed in 1996. The band has had different members over the years. Two of the original members still remain. One is the guitarist, Emppu, who is incredibly sensitive to what note each particular song needs. The other is the keyboard player Tuomas. He is also the one who writes the vast majority of the band's songs. He is a true dreamer/poet but with the base in natural realism. The song usually recommended to a new listener is "Ghost Love Score" official live video from Wacken 2013 with the current but then completely new singer Floor Jansen. By the way, Floor is married to Sabaton's drummer Hannes. The solo artist I recommend is Aurora, who is the one who once inspired Billie Eilish to become an artist. Aurora is from Norway and is a unique artist who has been writing music since childhood. A good start is, for example, "Through the eyes of a child" or any other song from her Christmas concert at the Nidaros Cathedral in Trondheim, Norway. This almost turned into a whole novel, but I'll stop now. Hope I didn't tire you out completely 😁

I find a deep interest in the concept that we can grasp that Pi exists, but cannot solve it. We understand Pi as a concept, and we can use it in functions, but we don't actually know what the value of Pi is. We know it's nature, but not it's true form. Just like Pi, our demons and personal issues can be conceptualized at one level, but never truly understood. We might be able to "solve" them but in order to truly solve them we would need a more complete understanding that may just be beyond our grasp.

If you are stuck as you put it, based upon my experience, is because I'm not willing to be honest with myself about my perspective about the situation that I am in. To understand ones-self is to understand all. Not everyone is willing to reach that level of surrender as in basic physics for every action there is a reaction. The more I surrender, accept that I could be wrong, this is key, write down a self appraisal on the situation meaning the part I played or didn't play and i should have. the reaction if done right is I gain another level of understanding. Then I am not likely to stay repeating the same scenario(people, places) and just going in circle and not gaining any growth not having to move again to start over thinking things will be different because they wont. eventually the same wall that got in the way before is going to come again. It always does, I have yet to be proven wrong. Eventually you get to a level of understanding to where you have that feeling within you that you just know it's going to work out. you trust that feeling you get that tells you what to do next or that you need to go and talk or help that person over there because you can see how they are getting in there own way of success, whatever success means to them. This part of my path I must do in order to be a positive force in the universe because for my that is my measure of success. There is a downside with that level of understanding you see things alot of people don't. When people talk to me I can see the part of them that they could call there secrets. But you can't just blurt out truth to others unless they ask for it, otherwise they will attack you.. i enjoy my anonymity, my peace. The only people in my life is my wife and kids and the occasional protege i take on. Like I said because I must. A problem is a problem if I choose to see it as a problem. There is much more to it then that but in a nutshell I believe your perspective is a little askewed. I do enjoy your reactions because you are an intelligent, passionate person to listen to. Keep up the good work and good luck on your path.
