The guy who was singing was Gorran. Another Big Push song where Gorran's vocals really shine is a mash-up of their original song, Lonely Boy, with Paint it Black. Really good.

A fun one where all three guitarists sing is “Praise You” (Fatboy Slim remake). 🙏🏻 They even use lil mini tambourines on their shoes!!!! 🎸🪘🥁 They’ve said they’re all co-leads as they all can play a million & one instruments as well as sing in all sorts of styles. Romain keeps his French accent, which is beautiful as well. He sings French in Bongo Bong, another kick-ass cover. Btw, does anyone have the video that Mr Fatboy Slim himself took of the Big Push when he came across them playing one of his tunes while busking, that he then posted to his Insta? I don’t use that platform but I’d love to see it. 💜

War Pigs is another good one. It was filmed in the same busking session as I Shot the Sherrif. Romain sings in their cover of 'My Generation' by the Who. They look like their having so much fun. Along with some of the other suggestions, I'd add their cover of Praise You by Fat Boy Slim. Once all their talent soaks in completely, you can dive into their originals. 😊

Bongo Bong is a great cover by The Big Push. Now Wade in the Water… is my favorite mashup by them. I love how the drums come in on the transition from Wade and Trouble - it sound like a wave crashing. These guys are all super talented - this blows me away that this is live on a street corner. Their joy is infectious and I love that they make space for everyone to shine and also encourage each other. Gorran sang - FeelingGood. Check out his solo song 75bpm Romain played the guitar solo - some great solo songs Glen is the drummer

When Chris Liepe reacted to Hi Ren - Ren wrote him saying that he has listened to his videos on singing techniques many times to improve his voice. Full Circle. At 12 he started making beats- he look for someone to rap over them without success ( he lived in a very rural area in Wales) - so he started rapping and singing - at 15 he started picking up instruments ( he plays piano- guitar-bass-cello and drums. He taught himself by watching KZbin tutorials. I think being misdiagnosed for more than 7 years- and his illness might have given him time to explore different genres and eras of music- film- art- literature….. his musical skill and cultural knowledge run deep. He just vibrates at a different frequency- Ren is Music ❤

I’ve watched this performance countless times, and I feel it in my soul every single time! ❤ The Big Push - stacked talent for days!! They truly make my heart happy. There’s something magical almost about these guys. Some of my faves - War Pigs (mashup), Praise You (Fatboy Slim remake), Paint it Black and Sympathy for the Devil (Stones), Lonely Boy (Black Keys), XBox Marijuana (Original), When She Goes (Original with little girl skateboarder), and an awesome cover of Bowie’s “Heroes” - a vid made during quarantine, that one is really special. Dude, it’s like with Ren…you just can’t go wrong with their music. I’ve never seen anything like what Ren is doing, and I’m thankful to be here to be a part of it with everyone. It’s a special time! Stay rad, my friend!

Sweet Little Lady has the original rock version and an a live version, a little more bluesy, both amazing. Icarus is great and really under appreciated, with a live rooftop acoustic version called Acustarus.

Some people will do a reaction to the original, then in the same sitting immediately do a reaction to a different version, line an acoustic version, and compare the two. Honestly, I can’t ever pick a favorite because the live versions are just as good if not better than the studio versions.

He plays the piano too just as skillfully. He doesn’t perform on piano but there are clips of him playing. You’d swear he was a classical pianist. That’s the thing…any genre, any instrument, and you’d think that was his expert field, but they’re ALL his expert fields. Truly gifted. I had to laugh because I’m a little Ren drunk too, for the last 4 months 😂

That was Brighton, not London. :) As for touring, his illnesses make planning too far ahead really difficult. Touring has been virtually impossible up to now. Too many cancellations would wreck any tour. His dietary restrictions alone would be problematic, (his illnesses have made him highly allergic to virtually all food) never mind the direct consequences of his health conditions. Hopefully the experimental treatments that he's currently undergoing in Canada, will ease things somewhat and repair some of the damage to his body and brain. Fingers crossed! One of his biggest ambitions, is to live one day without physical pain, which shows how much he suffers, constantly. To produce the art he does, with no health problems would be remarkable. That he does so whilst suffering with severely debilitating and incurable, chronic illnesses and all thei other health issues he has on top of that, is really something else!
