Thanks for this review Hyro! We stayed here for our first trip to the island in 2018. The location is excellent and we enjoyed the boat ride to the private island each day. Lots of shopping and restaurants nearby and by the marina.

I was able to get my hands on a day pass during my recent trip but never made it out there. It was the morning after the heavy rainstorm and it was still raining a bit. It eventually stopped, which was perfect for the evening Winery Tour, so it wasn’t a wasted day.

I went to Flamingo Island in April 2022. We got a cabana, what was the one closest to the rock wall. There was a dock that was under the water and there were so many fish around it making it a great snorkeling opportunity. It was one of the top 5 days of my life for sure. It was a beautiful place!

I'm not familiar with the current rooms the ocean suites but we found the Renaissance Resort to be very nice for a city hotel.

I know the Radisson, Tierra del Sol, Hyatt Airport have but I am not aware of the status of the others at this time.

Good stuff, brother. I've walked through there many times over the years. But never stayed there. I'm still amazed how people are obsessed over the long leg pink chickens. On another note tell Marleen there is a new Dutch wine and cheese shop over by La Cabana she will like. It's called Keshi Di Hulanda.

:-) haha, we were disappointed not to get that popular shot "everyone" gets. The Flamingos were not very friendly but then again they shouldn't be either (for our sake). We will check out the place you mentioned, greetings to Pagie.

Hyro, is the access/trip to the private island only available to the residents of Renaissance?

Included if you are staying at the Renaissance. Othetwise you will need to buy a pass which last we saw they were selling at $130 per person and it included food voucher.
