Ren is surrounded by very talented people and collaborates often. Chinchilla and Sam Tompkins are both in what I call "The Ren-i-verse", so you aren't being disloyal to the Ren fans by going down these tangents. Regardless, you're a reaction channel and you have to appeal to more than just Ren fans, so it's not like people don't get it. I just saw Chinchilla live in L.A. for her U.S. debut last month and she's every bit as good in person as these live videos show - phenomenal.

Ren pursued working with her, which says everything. Even if you don't react, go watch the official video of this song, it's different from this version, yet amazing in different ways. Considering your appreciation for the visuals and entire art production, you will love all her catalog. She puts herself into the art, like Ren, and she writes and produces, she's unapologetically herself; I've said to friends that humility is one of her superpowers. She has a flair for the esoteric and unexpected, again like Ren, and she will keep surprising you. Heck, she even made the hat she's wearing. :) -Thanks for the reaction. I know, right?! Chinchilla is just so freaking good at every aspect of being an ARTIST; from her vision, songwriting with music and lyrics of actual _substance_, to her production, singing, how she renders lyrics, authenticity in her performance - all phenomenal! You see why she and Ren consider themselves musical siblings (and yes - would love to see them on Broadway someday). She had her US debut in LA a few weeks ago and she absolutely killed it; seems criminal that she’s still relatively unknown. Looks like I am first for comment. Chinny has a lot of other songs that are rarely requested or suggested. Incredible hey !!! This performance is utterly stunning . Her facial gestures and mannerisms are incredibly provocative and compelling. God she’s beautiful in this video. Her voice is beyond great. The outfit near the beginning can be confused perhaps for just a fashion statement by many but by the time the story ends it’s clear that it represents a music box dancer (so she also says in an interview I recall hearing) It plays into the exaggerated movements that a figurine would have made . She no longer will be controlled and kept in a box. It’s a great analogy of her point. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦 🍻 , oh (sorry) ….. did I already say that ? lol 😂

Renegades usually recommend this performance because it cements Chinchilla as an artist who can more than hold her own. [ You would really appreciate the *official music video for “ Fingers” as well. It is wildly creative and theatrical ( she plays different characters , each with their own aesthetic).
