"Money make a 'Sick Boi' sicker somehow"; I think it has a couple meanings. The issue with his song 'Sick Boi' and Kujo likely stressed Ren so much that it made him become sick again; also, that situation made the song blow up even more, (Sicker). One other thing, 'money and greed' presented a topic to several of Ren's songs, which contributed to Ren being able to be 'Sicker' with his 'Spittin'. That's my take.

Another level is that money prevented him from getting his initial diagnosis. He wasn't tested for Lyme immediately because the test wasn't routine... because if the myth that the UK "didn't have Lyme Diaease, so ** it wasn't cost-effective to test**.

The Lyrics are pinned at the top of the comment section I checked yesterday😊 You semed to hear it all very well though . Ren made this with a producer who contacted him because he had a similar issue from the person who took sick boi down Ren made this 50 50 Split which he had offered that person as a good will gesture to get sick boi cleared. All the stress has made his health relapse worsen which happens with Lyme disease and stress He is now in treatment in canada again now which was not what he had planned!

One neat thing is that he collabed with a producer who was also screwed over by Kujobeats years ago. Nayz contacted Ren during that conflict Ren gave him the 50/50 split and a percentage of the Masters. So he is lifting up somone else,another ship. He is back in Canada in heavy treatment again. That relapse was ptetty scary. He had a lot of pain and lost vision in one eye for 3 daya. Think all that stress made him sicker.

Its a good lesson to think on. Ren said something in a live stream once (cannot remember exact) to think about what you are doing to either acquire money or what you are buying, as to if it is at the expense of another human in some way, detrimental to our planet, or really needed for your happiness. I don't think Ren wants his sister to stay pure and just be a light for him, but for her own wellbeing as well as he says "The World is in Need" of people keeping their light. This was supposed to be released on his sister's birthday, but liquid on his computer, where he was editing it, meant it was delayed, and then he ended up in the hospital. I think the line "F any man who made you feel less than a treasure," might be a catalyst for him expressing he will be with her forever and have her back. It's a guess but this is the first time he has put his family in a song, so I believe there was something that got him writing for her. 😊

Profit can be used as both a verb ( the act of) or a noun ( the result of). But I also think that IF the collective “we” worship money, are we not making it a Prophet- the be all , end all? Money is a tool. It can be used for something productive ( create) or destructive ( cutthroat - but also as something that carves a delineation between those who have it and those who don’t). As always, Ren sets the brain to work. And I believe that the verse for his sister was written earlier but because of his health emergency and set back he worked it into the song… adding feelings to the thinking. Oy Ren…😂❤

5:04 and in later shots, he's in "The Barbican", (Ref the sign on the wall) a 1970's "prestigious", but now fading Housing and Arts centre about 0.5 mile from the Bank of England. A "Barbican" is a fortified entrance to a city, in this case "The City" refers to "The City of London", The Fortress of UK Finance..... and Greed. EVERYTHING has meaning. (That's my interpretation anyway)

Money itself is not the root of evil, but the Love of Money IS. Money is just a tool for easier trade, but some abuse the tool. In the 1988 movie, "They Live", staring 'Rowdy Roddy Piper', aliens have 'Cloaked' everything so humans would not discover them, but with special 'Sunglasses' people could 'See' the Truth; my point, when 'Piper' wore them, he looked at money and it was plain paper with the words "This Is Your God"; everything else had cloaked messages also. In our world today there are people that Worship money like it Was God. With messages like this song, maybe 'We Humans' will wake the 'F' up, and strive to change the ills of this world; and Only worship 'Our Creator'; however, one's Faith defines 'Him'. God Bless!

Re “sicker somehow” - also could be referring to the money driven pharmaceutical/doctor relationship which collaborated in treating Ren with the wrong drugs due to misdiagnosis/prescribing. Also, suggest you take a good look at the video whilst not looking at the words. It is an artistic triumph 🙏🏻

Thank you. I mentioned the very same dichotomy with Ren's words to his sister in a thread somewhere when this came out. No one else has picked up on it. First he seems to say, you must harden up; then he says not to change. I was left wondering if his sister had queried his advice at the time? Regardless, it does not effect how well the song sounds, nor the cleverness of his lyrics. "Money makes the sick boi sicker somehow" I take this refers to the single, *Sick Boi and the hassles he had with it recently. The protagonist, in that scenario was greedy (money) and the stress has compounded to take such a toll on Ren's health, that he was in hospital, and is now back in Canada for further treatment (sick boi sicker).

I don't think Ren is asking his sister to maintain her light for him, but rather because the •world• needs it. She has always been a light for him by merely existing and being by his side, nothing more is needed by him. "Keep that kind heart kind, humankind are in need" The loss of kindness like hers would be a detriment to the world.

Oooh. You need to watch this a few more times!! You said the video isn't artistic?? Watch again. This is beautifully planned out and shot! It's GORGEOUS!! I'm still trying to figure out the significance of all the levels, almost every scene either has stairs, escalators, elevators, or levels in architecture. I know it means something, but I am flaring at the moment with massive pain, triggered by my ear drum rupturing. (And ruining my bose earbuds I got last Christmas!! Grrr.) But flaring consumes my brain, so I'm really struggling. (Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated!!) Anyway, please watch again so you can appreciate the beauty of this piece of art!!!!

I didn't mean it that way. I just meant that it didn't have an obvious artistic vision like Money Game or Hi Ren. It seemed more planned and intentional but not in the same way as his obviously more artistic endeavors. I will be watching it again though and pay more attention to the video itself.

I wondered whether the different levels was a visual metaphor for the class system and the way people are stratified into lower class, middleclass, upper class according to financial status. WE can move up and down according to how much money we accumulate. Also, when he sings about his sister and them flying together the background shows a "flight" of stairs. Sorry bout your eardrum! I had neurosurgery which damaged my vision so I understand the frustration and pain that makes it hard to fully appreciate Ren's beautiful masterpieces.

I explained in other comments that I wasn't saying the video wasn't artistic, just that it wasn't one like Hi Ren, Kujo Beat Down or one of those types where he is telling the story with the video in such a way that it needs it's own analysis. I think everything he does is artistic in ways not always caught in a first reaction when trying to pay attention to the song and lyrics more-so than the visuals unless the visuals are slapping you in the face to be commented on.

Great reaction, you got his message! I really wish you would listen to the whole song first and then looking up the lyrics, since I find that really distracting and I feel that it disrupt you taking in the song. Jumping back and re-listen (multiple times if needed) is much less distracting for me, or listen to the song one more time with the lyrics afterwords. There are probably a lot of people that don't agree with me, so I guess you should do you, but I just want to give a different viewpoint from the very loud "don't pause" comments all reactors seem to get.
