However, the blatant nature of his outburst, the widespread virality of the video and the significant backlash he is receiving, precisely reflect the intention underlying what was said in one single outburst in contrast to a consistent, widespread and unyielding narrative about how atrocious "white people" are, dredging up colonialism to reinforce and more to the point, fuel solidarity in this. White South Africans are prevented from attending universities and job opportunities because of their skin colour. BEE has personally impacted me by not getting a job even though I had destinctions in my field a friend from college that had just passed by the skin of their teeth got the opportunity instead(still happy for him though) . It's been 30 years, I was not born in apartheid but I still carry the burden of being labeld as the problem in the country.

This applies to a minority of young black people who have the opportunity to go to university. For the majority of young black people, university is not in the sphere of possibility. Their destiny is to be a cleaner, a miner and any other job that does not require schooling. in all sincerity, how do you propose the problem be solved (simultaneously yours as a minority and those of the majority)? We are though transitioning to a class system (unfortunately it will still be coloured by race, meaning those that have power, usually want to keep it).

13:50 You can't say "boer" in this context has no violent connotations when it's said in this specific context. It may not be a slur used historically but in 40 years it will be. While the K word wasn't even anything related to race in its origin, it became a hateful word by linking black people to non-believers, the same is the case with "boer". I'm white, and I know if a black person calls me a boer they're not being nice. I don't condone his use of the K and the N word, but saying that something isn't harmful because no one was harmed by it in the past, even though it's obviously meant to harm in this context is ignorant.
