Fond memories. Bought as estate in London in 1999, drove it around Europe for 6 months. Sold it before I flew home to Australia, always regretted not shipping it home. Fantastic car.

Had 18, 21 and Laguna all did 100k and were totally reliable, comfortable, quiet and enjoyable to drive. I used to race my 18 against 1.6 mk3 cortina. On bends the reanault was better.

Nothing lke the 405 405 does not have the third side window to start with. 21 is more square, 405 is more rounded on the 4 cornerds. The same is applicable to the headligta and the grille. The rear whell arch is totally different. And so on...
