just a general drive with my 1986(D) Renault 5 gt turbo … and testing the GoPro out also …..

I bought a new one in 1987. I was 24. Cost £7,500 and insurance from start with nothing off was £550 . Prob be 6 grand to insure a similar car now at 24. Nice car, had lots of fun. Nippy around corners with great acceleration for its time. Only prob was if you filled it up with 5 people it had nothing due obviously to the small size of its engine. I had an XR2 before that and that didn't even compare! Yep, I was a little boy racer back then! Watching this brings back nice memories!

Thanks pal, Unfortunately shes not with us no more, But from memory, she had a forged engine, t28 turbo, charge cooler setup and i believe the exhaust was off a subaru which shouldnt of gone on to honest lol In all honesty, the most enjoyable setup would of been with the original t2 turbo, standard carb and the actuator wound right out lol but she was a beast when she run right

Your dads renault would of beem the older early 80's model, then the phase 1 gt turbo got released Different shell, but i beleive they both still had 1.4 engine

Cheers mate ... It made 204bhp at 19 psi ... But when i sort fueling issue theres another 6psi to go so hopeing in the range of 220-240bhp for future ... But might b going 2.0L turbo charged .. Maybe

Renault 5s are much lighter theyd b quicker buh more tunability and its more reliable the starlet soo just depends on which u prefer

I've had 4 starlets and never had any issues other that front tires lol I'm running 260 at 24psi 6 speed gt4 box.. my brother had a 5 when I was young at at 5 years old scared the cap out of me lol

Andy Windsor no not standard, at the time of the video it wasnt rolling roaded yet, was still dealing with carb problems, was running 202bhp at 19psi a few weeks later, could of gone more but needed clutch dealing aith
