Renault 5 restoration project - Ep2 - Bodywork and spray painting

In this episode, we tackle all the bodywork and spray painting needed for a healthy and long-lasting comeback.
From cutting and welding to using chemical products. Whatever it needs to get the rust out of the car.
The car was painted with the original Renault red 705 (II-SV variation) and I decided to go for monolayer (acrylic) painting but add an extra layer of clear coat, to prevent decoloration and to make polishing easier in the future.
All the bottom of the car also received an anti-gravel/stone cheapening treatment.

You are right mate! It was a workshop rented for a couple of days and I forget to bring the mask from my shop on the first day... shit happens. But you are right. Safety is a top priority for me as you will see in the coming videos. Thanks for your comment and for taking care. Hi Darko. Thanks for your comment. You show great attention to detail. You are right, I didn´t remove the car headliner upholstery, because I did in the past in another car and it is impossible to remove it without breaking it. So I decided to not remove it this time. Regarding the color, it is the car's original color. I'm sorry that you don't like it, but there's no accounting for taste.
