Alpina was the manufacturer, after some years was bought from Renault, wikip can explain you more!

Alpine was a independant manufacturer till 73'. A partnership since 66' with Renault provided engines, components and spaces in showrooms for the latests A110's & A310's. Renault took control of Alpine that can't stand crisis and poor sells. Renault badges appeared on front instead but buyer's trust kept dying to the end. Alpine's badge came back for GTA's & A610's. Alpine's financial health was too bad to match porsche's growing far above quality & fame. Only passion & good cars remain so MVS.

Old car with a 4-cylinder being driven at low speeds. Of course it might not sound impressive. I still think it sounds better than a fart-cannon exhaust honda.
