After the rather embarrassing failure of the Renault-Mahindra JV product; the Logan. Renault went back to the drawing board. Over five years Renault understood that to woo India they first have to think like India and in 2012 they launched the Renault Duster. The Duster was a European car that was heavily tweaked for Indian roads. Duster went on to become the prodigal car for Renault in India until its discontinuation in 2022.
