Renault Kangoo 1.5Dci Full Service - Air / Fuel / Cabin / Oil filters and Engine Oil

Hi lovely people, in today's video I will show you how to do your own service on the Renault Kangoo 2010 1.5 dci 90HP, but this principle also applies to all other Renaults or Dacia because they use similar tech. So why not save yourself the trouble of going and waiting for a service that most of the time doesn't deliver what you want? Just do it yourself if you have the time, it's simple, check it out.
Also what you will not see properly because it was a night at the end in the video is how I did the service reset, which is pretty easy to do and there are plenty of videos showing how to do that, but if you need that let me know in the comment section and I will do a video with that as well. Just press the two buttons on the wiper's handle at the same time while the key is turned just once(car is not started.) and release the buttons once the service stops blinking and is reset.

I used a chain remover, with alot of 1/2 inch extenders. I do need to get that key for oilfilter, for now i used the chain again with a nm of 19😂.

Nice video I just purchased kangoo 06 72000 miles Great to see where they keep the cabin filter Hard to beat doing the service yourself only you know how well you did it some garages don't do a 100 % job

Exactly, it's a thorough job, and all the services out there don't have time to be thorough, they will rush the job resulting in an ok-ish result, and most of the time some screws will be missing or some broken plastic trims will appear, only you will be so focused and determined in doing the best job. I also have a saying: "Always is hard the first time you do it because you are on uncharted "territory", but after you explore it, it's just a walk in a park."

@@deranocasper it's under the wipers the 1997 - 2007 models have it there, it's WAY easier than on 2010 :) if you are not in a rush I will make a short video on how to change that filter this week.

Thanks allot and welcome to the family, in regards with the oil filter i found out that you need the oil key from Dacia brand because they have the same oil fiters and their keys have the teeth way longer than the standard keys almost half of finger, i got mine from the local car shop since Dacia models are fabricated here, for 15ron = 3euro. Pulling the oil filter with them is a game changer! #noMoreSwetingAndTwisting4Days. @@SanKraNsWorkshop Hi. Many thanks for your reply. My van is a 2012 renault kangoo 1.5 dCi 90hp. I have found a wrench on Amazon that has 12 flutes and has a diameter of 76mm. Could you confirm that it is the same as yours please??? Mine is made by 'Laser'.

@@bala5436 indeed the wrench it has 12 teeth, and for the diameter you could measure the new filter that you already purchased right ? and in this way you will find if it fits or not, the main feature that makes the wrench amazing in pulling out this stuck filters is that the teeth are long, like half of finger to make a good grip and not just sort like a nail long, the most wrenches are made short these days witch is bad because they provide a small grip and they are useless for this cases.

This video really helped me decide to do it myself, I have watched it a number of times. Already changed the air filter with help of your video. Thanks again. Just a question: did you jack up the car before doing the oil change? Or did you use ramps? How did you get good access to the oil plug when draining the oil? Is it OK to put the car on ramps when draining the oil?

However, I cannot find the color code for this color orange...there should be a sticker in the door jamb, but mine have been removed by the previous owner. I am pretty sure your Kangoo is the same color as mine... can you please check your color code on the sticker and tell me? Thanks.

@@matthijs22 sry for the delay, but i took my time to scout all the dark places of the kangoo in order to get some info about the color code, sadly i dont have any tag on the car that specifies the color code. But you can try a paint shop that does custom colors, usually they will get your color preety easly, also you can try this one "Renault Kangoo Orange 031 paint ( www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=Renault+Kangoo+Orange+031+paint )"

Hi Marcello, in my case I went to our local weekly auto parts fair named "Vitan Fair" ( goo.gl/maps/PSB8nfZcPXoaocd97 ) but you can try searching on the internet after "filter cap wrench Dacia", its basically the filter cap wrench for Dacia cars. Here are some links from where you can purchase it but i am not sure if they ship it worldwide. But at least you get a bigger picture what you need to purchase. Awful design for getting into the oil filter

There is written awful design on many other things than oil filter, for example, the cabin filter you literally have to dismantle almost all the dashboard or try to change a light bulb in the headlights oh boy what a pain, or try to change the windshield wipers you need to remove the arm in order to do so! :) etc
