The Renault Kiwd AMT automatic has been a part of our long-term fleet for the last six months. This is the top-of-the-line RXT (O) variant that is loaded with features like touchscreen navigation system that has been a segment first. Over its tenure there are somethings like boot and cabin space that makes the Kwid a very likeable car. At the same time absence of a manual gear selector, jerky throttle response at low speeds soured the driving experience.

I have rxl 1000 I drive around 17000 km in 16 month milage is 14.5 kmpl with AC in local. And 18.5 in highway. Car is satisfy for this price

Hi Abhinav.. my mom has kwid AMT RXL.. I sometimes drive the car for short trips... Second service is due soon.. sometimes while driving on slow speed e.g on a junction.. the car suddenly goes in neutral.. I mean car doesn't go forward.. after stopping and fiddling the knob doesn't fix.. I have to kill the ignition and restart, then it works. This is especially annoying in city traffic... This hasn't happened frequently but 2 times in 6 months

I own a Kwid RXT 1.0 and I agree on all the points the reviewer is saying except for mileage. And especially AMT version in city can never give you 20.8 I have the manual transmission and in Bengaluru city without AC it gives 15.5 to 17 depending on traffic conditions. With AC it gives 14.4 to 15

The gear dial does give troubles and if it happens in traffic you'll have a terrible time as it is impossible to push the car aside in such a scenario. I am not happy with kwid

Reno kwid amt इस गाड़ी के सभी पार्ट्स और असेसरीज बहुत ही घटिया है। एवं उसका कंपनी प्राइज बहुत ही ज्यादा है। यह गाड़ी रस्ते में खड़ी हो जाती है तो सर्विस सेंटर पर ले जाने हेतु ट्रक में भरकर ले जानी पड़ती है। परिवार को ले कर रात का सफर करना खतरे से खाली नहीं है।हम इस गाड़ी को खरीद कर बहुत दुखी है।

Is is a paid review? I'm not sure how you are getting 20kmpl milage. No kwid owner is getting more than 14kmpl. I am driving kwid for 6 months now, sometimes i feel cheated when i think about milage, build, quality, safety of the car. I know that renault is keeping an eye on after sales service and trying hard to achieve customer satisfaction. But a company cannot achieve true customer satisfaction when their product lacks in so many things itself.

The gear dial gives trouble lot of times. Engine sound seeps into the cabin. With in city'traffic it gives a mileage of 12-14kmpl

+Bhagat Singh Its smooth engine with a sprightly low and mid-end but suffers from lack of power high up the rev band. You can short shift and stay in a higher gear without losing much speed. It’s not going to be a blast down the highway but the Kwid is quick on its feet nonetheless.

I own this car, manual, 1000 cc. This car rattles like hell from everywhere after 6 months of use. I had severe transmission knocking at low revs, uphills, potholes and the service center was not able to rectify the problem after keeping my car with them for 5 days. DON'T WASTE YOUR PRECIOUS HARD EARNED MONEY ON THIS PIECE OF JUNK.

put some more money and buy Tata Tiago. don't even think of buying this piece of junk, if you buy it you will regret later on, all cheap, third class parts are used, car also is so light that it bounces in potholes, there's no sturdiness, on high speeds car will swerve here and there.

Both r same cars made in the same plant, same parts used. Dont buy either of them. Later on you will kick yourself for buying this car. Tiago might be 30K more expensive. But believe me it is worth every penny you spend. I don't know about the AMT version of Tiago how it performs, you can check on KZbin.
