I've owned the Kwid 0.8L RxT for almost a year now. Here's an honest review. Pros: 1.spacious. 2. steering is light. 3. Headlights are decent. 4. AC is decent. Cons: 1. doesn't pull in 3rd gear if you have 4 persons. need to downshift a lot. 2. Doesn't pull even in 2nd gear if you have AC on even with no passengers onboard. 3. engine in very noisy. 4. Fueling is not proper. lots of jerks in 1st and 2nd if you floor it. 5. The touchscreen display cannot play videos. 5. audio playback through Bluetooth is sketchy. 6. Brakes are poor. 7. inside rvm is useless and doesn't even come with night shades. 8. the car got recalled twice for fueling and fuel tank related issues. 9. wobbles a lot in highways. Tough to overtake other vehicles. Final verdict: If You're planning on getting this better spend a bit more and get a figo or an i10. Better service and reliability.

Do you have other issues such as a heavy clutch and car failing to start? Also, I'd recommend Tiago alongside the Figo and i10.

I have kwid Amt for past 11 months. Had to literally sue the dealership to get the brakes and rear shocks replaced. Both were faulty. When you are breaking it produces a noise similar to old ambassador's brake. Rear shocks were making too much noice. Instead of trying to resolve the issues, service adviser told me this car is meant to be driven at 40 kmph!! . Finally after continuous arguments and complaints got both shocks and brake assembly replaced on warranty. Now it's working fine. Speaking about performance it's average but does not give you confidence at all. If you are overtaking, you might find yourself going side by side to the other vehicle because the gear might shift down in most cases in the middle. Fuel economy cannot guarantee. It's not consistent. Ride quality is good and comfy but Cheap quality plastics are used.

1. How does it perform on highways, Does it have enough power to overtake vehicles without a lag.... Did you get a chance to test it 2. It does not have the creep function mode, So how would it perform in stop and go traffic.

1) Yes it performs decently well on the highway but is still a city car. 2) Keep your leg on the brake and modulate the throttle.

Please touch upon the safety aspects and cabin build quality as well. A 600kg car without abs/airbags sounds a deadly combination on pathetic indian roads.We all know that alto fails miserably in safety department but you should also highlight what other manufacturers are bringing on to table to change the mindset on both sides.
