In my case the problem was the heat resistor but it wasn't blown out like yours. My drains got clogged up near the windscreen wipers and it must have gotten wet, so a liberal application of wd40 on all connectors did the job. My wallet liked that.

Hi, My car has same problem with the connector has melted/burned. Do you know the name or type of connector? I am trying to find a replacement. Thanks!

Hi, thank you for the great vid. My blower still works but makes a sound as if something obstructs the fan, and the whole dashboard vibrates when set at higher stance. How do I know if it's the fan or resistor, (even after disembling everything)

hi there, I think it is not the resistor, I would guess that fan blades have problems, maybe some other deformation (I even have seen that on some fans if there is brushes connection issues the brushes may heat and melt the fan plastic housing) or maybe fan itself is not placed correctly (it is not easy to get it in and out and especially to fix it in the place so you can kind a put it in, even if it is not correctly installed), or maybe some dirt has got in and fan have some sort of friction, it may happen if the saloon filter is not completely inserted. On some after market fans on blades they put (clip on) a little metal pieces to make sure when fan turns max speed it does not vibrate, maybe your fan had these and they have fallen of, but I think it is unlikely that it will make all dashboard to vibrate.
