Thanks James! Weathers turning, so got the opportunity to get back out again. Going to strip out the fancy editing (if you could call it that!) and drone clips for now as it takes too much time to edit it all in. This means, I should be able to do them more often. Think that format is going to be okay? i.e. just straight out and into the car?

@@JamesGlenCarSales1982 Yeah Stephen that sounds good! Main thing for me is getting your opinion on how it drives

Been there, done that, felt the same way, then done it again. Pleased to see this and see that you enjoy it as much as I did. Once you drive one, you know what they are all about. Take a couple of clicks off the rear dampers to settle it more and try again......big smiles. 😎

Hi John! I think I just need a couple of clicks taken out my right foot lol - What a car! I'm amazed it works soooo well on a B road. I really thought it would have been too stiff, but those Ohlins work so well. What a special car. I'd love to run it with the carbon wheels, but like you, afraid to fit them! Thanks again for the car, and hope you get in a suitable Cayman soon (if not already!). Stephen

Its a car I've always loved, the R5T! Never had one, but had a run in a 'chipped' one almost 30yrs ago and still remember it fondly!

Great vid, I don't know if I could spend that type of money on a hot hatch, unless I was planning on entering races or something lol, I do love my face-lift 300 sport, great for b roads, and yes doesn't have the lsd but it's more compliant on a b road and for every day use, this is going to be the last ever trophy R, so I would expect prices to reflect that in time, unfortunately the hot hatch as we know it is dying and before long it will be all electric cars that are over priced, like the hyundai ionic5 N at 65000.
@JamesGlenCarSales19829 ай бұрын
Hi Gavin, totally agree. Its the same with all the high ticket specials, are you getting double the fun over the regular car? And that's almost always going to be, no. Its a car for the devout Renaultsport enthusiast who wants the purest driving experience without compromise. Its a lot of money, will I'm going to say, its likely going to be a cheaper car over all to own, as it won't drop in value like the regular cars. Plus, you would be a hero dailying a halo model! :)

@JamesGlenCarSales1982 it's definitely going to hold its money, and if looked after, in years to come it could be worth more, same as prices for ford sierra cosworth cars are high right now.

Your driver's seat looks way lower than the other one. I have the same car and it already is on the lowest of the three possible height settings and it looks to be much higher than your seat here

Type R is contender also. Woujd much rather save 30 k and get a fk8 . Much better all rounder with rear seats still there.
@JamesGlenCarSales19829 ай бұрын
Not really a fair comparison. A Std Trophy 300 and FK8 is a good comparison and having driven both, it is very very close. In the end, it would be the trophy for me. I prefer the Recaro seats, Alcantara Wheel, the looks and the handling is just ever so much sharper (prob due to the 4Control), but it is very very close. Engine is surprisingly good in the Renault too, with a cracking sound when you're on it with the Akra accompanied but a love few pops (some of them wild!) on liftoff and a very very keen top end. Unbelievably strong for a 1.8 I wouldn't be unhappy with either car, put it that way!
