My mate had a BMW with 150k and it died, he's also had 3 Audi's all over 100k, petrol and diesels and they all died, he now has a high mileage Citroen and it hasn't even thought about dying, the French car stigma is for old boys who are outdated and are stuck in the 70s

I use to own one of these cup edition, and what you said is true if you look after it it will look after you but if you drive slightly more than your capabilities it will try to kill you.

97.000 miles for a clio? Are you serious.. cars like this (even if its french) survive over 180.000 easily... dont know how you brits are driving, but due to coments like this you must be horrible or driving like nuts... i have this one, and it still runs (140k miles)... so...
