The Puteaux SA 18 wasn't a naval gun but instead used the ammunition from a naval gun. The Puteaux SA 18 instead derived from the Canon d'Infanterie de 37 modèle 1916 TRP mini-field gun which was a scaled down Canon de 75 modèle 1897 field gun, using Hotchkiss 37×94 mmR ammunition.

Great work! I would suggest pairing the background images to the text being read, such as showing the machine gun version while talking about the machine gun specs, showing the versions side-by-side when discussing differences, etc. Also, maybe adding a voiceover/sound queue to transitional title slides like "Specs" to help viewers know that a new section is coming (especially folks who like to listen without watching). Otherwise, good stuff. Have subscribed to see more!

Amazing video, there are few detailed videos of this first modern tank with rotating turret in any language, even in French. It is funny how it was a rather balanced tank, even for this period of WWI, and easy to mass-produce

The 12 mm armour was only intended to stop small arms fire and fragments from light artillery, for which it was adequate. Germany had no tanks and anti-tank guns didn't exist yet, so this would not be an issue for some time yet.

Some of those tanks were in service into the 1950's as training and scout vehicles.

Maybe the most successful tank ever designed. It served in both World Wars, all of the way up to the 1980's, and possibly even further, if you count their use as pillboxes. U.S. forces even captured a couple of examples during the Iraq war.

I mean, in theory, the Lincoln 1 later known as a Little Willy also had a rotating turret before terrain mobility testing, and so on, but generally it is a great informational video.

What does the spoiler at the end of the tank supposed to do?
@brinta2868
@brinta2868 3 ай бұрын
@fr3ddyfr3sh I've heard several different explanations, and it's probably number 1: 1. The rounded tail made the tank longer so that it could cross trenches and ditches without falling in. It gives the tracks the chance to get a proper grip on the other side. Without the tail the tank would glide backwards, and then it would end up standing upright on its butt. 2. It's to keep the tank from making a backflip when going up a steep slope. But I don't think that really works with the shape; the tail would have to be much more pointed downwards (because the 'ground' behind the tank on a slope is also at a high angle). 3. It's to keep the tank from making a backflip when climbing over something (for example a tree lying on the ground). This seems more plausible than #2, because now there's still the horizontal ground. The 45 degree angle of the tail would make sense. *Regardless of the main reason, a free added bonus of the tail is that bullets from behind are deflected downwards, thus protecting the vulnerable engine. Otherwise a bullet on the flat rearpanel would be quite damaging. Bullets that miss the tail will land on the angled panels of the tank, deflecting the bullets left, right, or up. But now that I think about it, that doesn't make much sense either. Someone behind the tank but to the left or right could hit those angled panels straight on.

@Aitelly
@Aitelly 2 жыл бұрын
Yes, we did some They kept on Changing in this era a lot with the German Empire. The national flag of Germany (German: Flagge Deutschlands) is a tricolour consisting of three equal horizontal bands displaying the national colours of Germany: black, red, and gold (German: Schwarz-Rot-Gold).[1] The flag was first sighted in 1848 in the German Confederation; with it being officially adopted as the national flag of the Weimar Republic from 1919 to 1933, and again being in use since its reintroduction in West Germany in 1949. Since the mid-19th century, Germany has two competing traditions of national colours, black-red-gold and black-white-red. Black-red-gold were the colours of the 1848 Revolutions, the Weimar Republic of 1919-1933 and the Federal Republic (since 1949). They were also adopted by the German Democratic Republic (1949-1990). We had Done some Research but for some Reason We Just left it like That
