Wow this is a great guide to keeping files nice and clean. The only thing I want to do differently is instead of hiding most of the elements that don't show up on the camera, I want to put little things back there so only people who open my file can see that I hid little messages in grease pencil behind the mountain, etc.

One thing u can try for cycles is in light paths turn on fast gi approximation and set it to 2 overall adds more depth imo

Nice video, thank you... How do you add photo scans to your assets browser?

You open the blend file of all the scans, highlight them all in the outline and right click, "mark as asset." Then save that file to a designated spot on your computer. Then (in a new blend file) go to preferences, file paths, and there should be a spot where you can add an asset collection and it'll ask you to find the folder where you saved that previous file.

I think so, but that's also better if you're looking to bring it into an editing software and continue to composite and color grade.
