Modeling and rendering jewelry is so fascinating! Your render shot at the beginning is beautiful. This is really a great tutorial. Big THANKS! :)

Really a great help thank you for the tutorials. I wonder how do you know hich nodes/steps are needed to create a close to accurate metal render? I come from just using Rhinos mostly default render settings.
@djtutorialscgi2 жыл бұрын
I’m god it helped! There are a lot of documents and data showing what makes a good metallic shader so I just make mine according to what works for me.

You are the goat! 🔥 Buddy how do you get the diamonds to have those rainbow-y fire reflections?

Hi, great video, thanks a lot. I'm using Rhino 7, which uses the Cycles renderer. Would the same procedure work in Rhino do you think?
@djtutorialscgi2 жыл бұрын
It should except Rhino tends to be more straight angles etc since it is for engineering, correct? If so, I would try adding a Bevel normals node to the shader so that you can round off the sharp edges so it doesn’t look so mechanical
@altar78852 жыл бұрын
@@djtutorialscgi Rhino has improved on the angles problem. I should really learn Blender, but I find it very daunting. I'm not sure that could learn it on my own.

I have a TON of tutorials but also I recommend Grant Abbitt’s beginner series. It’s really good.

Thanks for the video, can you tell me, where can i download "lightbox" hdr map?
@djtutorialscgi3 жыл бұрын
There aren’t that many for free unfortunately but you can make your own. If you set up a scene as a light box then render out a 360* image (save as a 32 bit exr at 6K) you can basically create your own HDRI.

The normal seems to give me flat shading.
