Clearly, she told him she wanted a commitment from the beginning so he should have been honest and told her he is keeping his options open. Why did he get engaged and involve families? It was so mean and conniving of him. On top of that, he encouraged her to quit thereby ruining her life further. I followed their love story back in the day and it was absolutely heartbreaking the way he treated this lady, leading her on whilst also messing with other women. He should have been honest and not made false promises. Raveena is an emotional woman and he broke her. Think again before posting!

"Mom" plays the main architect in children's lives-. Raveena accompanied her mom to the orphanage and not only picked some good core values from her mom, but went onto adopting those girls. That's a big move. There's empathy, magnanimity and above all humanity, in that one single act ,beyond all career aspirations this is what life's purpose should be all about "Giving" . I will not comment about Akshay, but Raveena suffered a lot through this affair and the inner scars could be well noted in her eyes and overall body language. Although at her peak and at a height of success, clearly the memories of Akshay Kumar inside her were still playing its part in each of her activity. Its like she well knew I don’t wanna go back to him but also the fact his memories are still vibrant inside me. My only takeaway or a question after this amazing interview would be Did Akshay ever return back to her life? After the engagement fall? Because Raveena mentioned she later chose career over personal life when Akshay asked her to drop her career goals because she was fooled once and would have not like to be fooled again!! If that is the case & Akshay ever came back to her again, somewhere i feel she axed herself in the process of reclaiming her career coz the discomfort in her is clearly clearly visible. Or may be the fact Akshay was a chauvinist and could not see Raveena’s success? This question should have been asked!! But a good 22 mins of someone’s personal life..thank you!

I remember reading one of Raveena's interviews in a magazine at that time. She was hinting at Akshay's mom while describing internalized misogyny in Indian society, esp the film world- she said "even women have such pathetic double standards. They don't want their daughter-in-laws to work after marriage even when their sons are from the same industry." He did the same with Shilpa Shetty too. She quoted "She would have gone insane if not for her family support. He was two timing her with another woman." Akshay Kumar is a big time chauvinist-cheater. He gambled with these womens' lives bigtime.
