Rendezvous with Simi Garewal - Shobhaa & Dilip De 1997

This is the very first Rendezvous I did! Shobhaa and Dilip De were kind enough to do the interview - as this was the pilot. So, no signature song! No set! No flowers. Just the interview. You'll notice we innovated a Quick Fire round wayyyy back then! It was a trademark end to our shows in the seasons that followed. Many hosts picked up this idea - primarily Karan. I've uploaded the rendezvous just as it was. Thought you may like to see where it all began!

In this lock down liesure I have been watching simis vdos, long back I saw, n now, Vv gorgeous Simi ji, Getting curious to know more about simiji. I know her only in karz, in which her character made me have negative about her, I was just a school going then. But after watching her interviews I matured and changed the opinion on her. Shobha De is very pretty and attractive, though she has not aged well. Sharp eyes, beautiful nose, high cheekbones and a sweet smile, she was quite glamorous in her young age... If only she was a little more polite and considerate in her articles, people would have actually liked her.

thanks god the world went in the direction of Harry potter via J. K. Rowling. What a waste of precious time ...making up imaginary stuff about people's lives. In hindsight it is so much better to spend one's time reading up about imaginary goblins & wizards. Wow, what a request! But, girl, it doesn't work like that. Are you some celebrity, a film star? You say you want to learn about yourself. If you allow me, let me tell you an easier way: Read good books, not only the books in your syllabus but other books, read books of good literature and philosophy, watch good world cinema. Learn how great minds in history have thought and represented this world of ours throughout different ages and cultures. Good books and films will not only broaden your horizon but will make you a much better person in life. You have wishes, then try your darndest to realise those wishes. Be someone in life first and then many interviewers will be lining up to interview you, and perhaps Ms Garewal would be one of them! And yes, be a student all your life, one should never stop learning.
