As a content creator, just look for office spaces that can repurposed to also live in them in smaller industrial districts. They typically have the best internet connections and are rather cheap compared with normal housing. Also, no neighbors to worry about. Going that route should give you all you need, even if only temporary.

when it comes to the housing situation, my first thought was "are there any hermits that live near you where you could settle in?" even if its only for 2-3 months while searching for a house, it gives you some extra time to search for your new house

There are so many Hermits in the UK, this might be a viable option! Hopefully Ren can find a house before then, though. This idea gave me the mental image of some casual Xisuma stream being interrupted by distant shouting about TNT minecarts only for Xisuma to say, "sorry about the noise, I'm looking after a Dog."

I feel your pain Ren, our landlord tried getting us out last year and we had to fight to stay but we have to be out end of next month and houses are a joke at the moment thankfully found a shared ownership but even this has been delayed the joys of adulting lol

Many years ago, my wife and I were booted from a really great rental situation as well. We used the heartbreak as motivation to finally buy a home, and it ended up being the best thing to ever happen to us. Sometimes those little seeds of disappointment have a way of blossoming into something great--for anyone that needs to hear that.

10:12 I don't know what the laws are like over there, but here in Belgium your landlord is legally required to give you at least 3 months to move out, maybe 6 I can't remember.

Good luck, Ren. I live in California, so whenever I have to find a new place it induces insane anxiety. Mercifuly, I have been able to rent a place in the country with great broadband, no neighbors, ample space for pets, and close enough to the city to still have fun. Been here for almost 10 years. I do feel your pain, Ren! I have rented the same apartment since 2016 here in Portugal. Since then, apartment prices have tripled and there's a severe shortage of apartments at a reasonable price and with a decent landlord. Every year around the time of the renewal of my contract I get panic attacks, either expecting my landlord to ask me for double the money or to leave so he can rent it to new people for more money. And of course the rest of the year I'm sweating at the thought of a two-month notice so that they can use their apartment again. Leaving would automatically mean paying double even if I move to a smaller/ less central home. But your wonderful attitude about change and how we should accept it has calmed me down. I will try to think more calmly and stoically about all the changes I see in the housing sector around me, and I'll just work hard and get ready for whatever happens! My daughter moved out a few weeks ago and just couldnt find an apartment which was affordable or big enough and but she never gave up and kept searching for three whole months until she found an apartment but now she has one and is very happy with it so dont give up ren!

Best of luck with the house search Ren! Many towns around the cities in South and West Wales have high speed broadband with decent access to M4 and/or trains to London. 2/3 bed semi‐detached houses for around £700-£800. Obi-Wan is such a cutie I'm sure he could win a prospective landlord over.

Don't worry about your videos Ren your loyal viewers will completely understand, especially the mature viewers of your channel. We've had to go through the same thing before at some point in our lives and we know it's not easy. If you find yourself caught between a rock and a hard place there's always a spare room here in Lincoln 😂 The internet is really good, the neighbours are pretty much deaf and there is nothing wrong with shouting at Minecraft! no worries about the video ren! moving is one of the many things that suck being an adult. housing is hard to find anywhere with the current situation. I was in same situation 6 months ago. I basically had to pack everything in storage to give myself more time to look for a place to live. houses are just too expensive to buy and renting is somehow more expensive. I hope you find your new home soon! I hope to see you in next hermitcraft episode and maybe the next life series!

I can definitely emphaise with the moving stress! We had a lot more notice, but we've got til the end of June to vacate so our landlord can move in. We've secured a place, thankfully, but we've got a lot of packing to do, and a lot of accounts and documents to update.

Ren, I know its hard moving house and all the trauma that comes with it. But realistically owning a home is much better. I know you might not be able to do that, and I have been watching you grow for all your MC playing. Yeah, another but... you should have acquired a good following by now, seeing that Hermitcraft is doing so well. Maybe you do or don't have some savings, and rent can drag a lot out of your pocket. So try and save for that home. The one you can make that special room for doing your KZbin in. You will feel so much better once you have a stable place to live. Good luck finding that new place. I know this is a second comment I've made on the video but from dealing with audio and such. Have you considered making a sound room? This would be a smaller enclosed space with sound proofing. You can set it up and have your input/output devices on the inside of it and the computer itself on the outside so you don't get the fan sounds and the heat from it. The big plus about going this way is less post processing on audio and you don't have to worry about being too loud or outside noise leaking in. Edit: and if you do end up moving again you can pack it up and take it with you! Edit2: sometimes the cheaper options for sound proofing can work better than the expensive stuff! So don't be discouraged regarding price. There are plenty of resources out there about making sound rooms :)

My building was sold last year and the new owner raised everyone's rent with one month of notice, and suddenly my rent was 120% of my monthly income. Luckily my best friend had just started looking at houses and we spent the summer figuring that out, then she bought a house and we moved in together in October! It was a mad dash to pack my whole life up but now I have a reasonable rent and a backyard for the first time in a decade, and I'm even going to get a dog soon 😊 I hope the process goes as smooth as possible for you, Ren!

Good luck Ren with the house search! One thing I did think about with the internet situation is that if it's not the best you get starlink. As someone who lives in the country with no real internet apart from the littlest bit of 3g at the bottom of the garden, starlink has really changed my life! It is expensive to start but then it's just like paying for normal internet. But anyway enough of the rambling. I really do wish you luck as I know how stinky it can be to move in such short time ❤️

The most sad thing was lousing my beloved pet. Having to leave your beloved Obi boy would be a heart break not only to us all but for you, it would be hard to do things that you used to do with him.
