I was dating a girl and all was well and good. We were going to be married. She used to say she felt lucky because she got me. Called me a good and perfect man. Doesn't exist but I'll take the kindness. One day, she was suddenly different. Shortly thereafter, she started dating someone else. Her family hated him. And then he cheated on her. She's still with him. I was completely devastated. This song, which I loved as a kid, has become a nice anthem for me and a way to heal. I wondered if it could be done acoustically so I could sing it and I went searching for it hust now. Not every song will sound right acoustically. But my goodness... Oh how you have nailed it. I will try to emulate it. Thank you ❤️❤️
