Thanks for acknowledging both options as valid. Car camping is perfect for our family. We have a blast biking, playing, and hanging out with other families ☺️
@YourMama_420 Жыл бұрын
Even if they hadn’t…. It still would be valid for you if it works for you. It’s really relieving when you live by your standards and not someone else’s or societies 🌻. Glamping is “valid” too lol. We bring air mattresses into our tents 😂. Our family brings their camper and parks next to us lol. It’s all fun. It’s all quality time. &&& out in nature 🥰 Who caresssssss how we do it?! As long as we safe & responsible

Interesting. I felt like they did the opposite.
@my-chemical-romanceАй бұрын
@@criminalitycollective How? They just showed that they actively do both, enjoy both, and that there are just differences. Car camping gives more luxury but can cost more, thru hiking gives more freedom of where to go but they're so exhausted at the end of each day all they can do is sleep.

My car camping set-up sort of straddles both worlds! We have a smaller vehicle, so we look for gear items that pack down smaller (but still bring a 2 burner stove, chairs, hammocks, etc). I love both backpacking and car camping because for me it's about doing more with less and simplifying life!

Car camping can take some adjustment after years of backpacking. Chairs are such a luxury, especially as we've gotten older.

There's a campground near me with a lake, an archery range, a disc golf course, and a huge dog park with dog beach, and if you have kiddos there's even a forest play area for kids. It's a different type of camping sure, but in various activities and for families, it's well worth it to car camp there. I do enjoy backpacking too

I am a master car camper/road tripper, and I can tell you that I never pay for places to set up camp. With only a little research, you can find the info. For instance: most BLM land is free to set up camp, usually for up to 14 days... There are maps online. Most rest areas have places to have a fire and cook, refill water, use the bathroom, and get rid of trash. You generally can't pitch a tent, but you can sleep in your car and do everything else at the rest area... You'd be amazed at how many rest areas in the US are situated right near hiking trails! Most have a limit between 12hrs and 3 days...I often make friends with security or staff, if I can. I drive twice a year between Puerto Vallarta, Nayarit, Mexico and Anchor Point, Alaska, and I don't like spending a ton of money on hotels... So my pup and I always car camp the entire way. Truck stops usually have showers and laundry, so that's easy to do on the fly. ✌️
