Use jack stands!!! You have your legs under a rotor and control arm if that tiny oring in the jack fails bye bye legs.

haha, I was thinking the same thing... at the very least, don't put your legs under the car.

You should always sand all rust from the hub before installing spacers. A few .001's of rust will cause issues. Use jack stands too kids!

And what happened to the star pattern that you like to use? That’s only when you start them when it really doesn’t matter,the star pattern is a real concern when torquing! What a fucking idiot!!!

Great video, very thorough! I'm curious if you had to file down any of the bolts? I ask cause at the end of the video you show a metal saw on the ground next to all your other tools lol. Thanks and keep up the great work!
@crackshotscreenprinting10 ай бұрын
would 1.5 inch work as well?
@Ojeramup125 жыл бұрын
Stupid question but I have to ask. Why would you put spacers? Would it be so that the tires stick out the side a little?
@ChimichangaTv4 жыл бұрын
Yes that’s why most people do it. But it’s also to help fit bigger tires so they don’t rub against the strut tower

Short head lug bolts should be used so the heads don't protrude past the surface of the spacer.

I never had any issues and I hear no issues from people I recommend this too. It will though cause your wheel hubs to fail prematurely like at 75k to 150k miles. It’s something that will happen no matter what.

Hey, love the videos. I was hoping for some help. I was at the dealership, I asked them to place two good tires in front and worn ones(30K) in back till I can afford new ones. They told me my transaxle will go bad. And police says they can't touch my tires. Will the Trailhawks transaxle go out on me because I'm driving it with worn tires?
@ChimichangaTv6 жыл бұрын
I’ve never heard of that being an issue. I do know it’s best to not run with tired below 4/32 due to stopping distance will increase substantially.
@BrandoAlfaOne6 жыл бұрын
@@ChimichangaTv Yeah I kinda figured that they were scamming. I have two good tires I asked them to put up front then next month I'll get two more for back tires. Or I will be driving one good tires now and 3 worn ones. Idk what I should do.

I've heard wheel spacers are dangerous. Have you had issues with since installing them?
@ChimichangaTv6 жыл бұрын
Nope have had no issues. The only issue they will give you is it will cause the wheel bearing to fail sooner that it normally would. So anywhere from probably 75k to 150k is imagine.

Great video. Thanks for sharing. Have you had any issues at all with adding the 1" spacers especially off road? I currently have 225/65R17 tires on my TH without a lift & it's great. There's no rubbing at all. If I add the 1" spacer do you think I'll have any issues with rubbing? I don't want to have to do any other mods to it like the pinch seam or lift. I just want the tires to sit out a bit for a more aggressive stance & still be my daily driver with the ability to take her off road from time to time. Thanks.
