Get your BORA Spacers here - bit.ly/35881KZ
Give your build a completely new look with a set of Motorsport Tech wheel spacers. These spacers sit behind the mounting surface of the wheel and push them outwards giving you a way more aggressive look. This is a fantastic way to get the fitment you want without breaking the bank.
Motorsport Tech offers two different lines of wheel spacers. Their Bora lineup is constructed using 6061t6 Aluminum giving you a lightweight, durable spacer at a low cost. Need a stronger version for your build? The Stahl line of spacers is made from high-quality steel to give you the most durability.
The best part? These wheel spacers are manufactured right here in the USA and come with a lifetime warranty.

I put a full set of .75" Bora spacers on my 2015 tacoma to give her an aggressive stance. There was some minimal rubbing on the back of the front fender wells, but it was an easy fix with some garden sheers. I'm sure I'll be doing some more trimming in the future, so we'll see. The cornering is where I notice it the most, the lower center of gravity helps out a lot in keeping my truck more level when cornering. I'm running a 2" lift with 285 75 R17 BFGoodrich mud terrains. I'd highly recommend the Bora spacers. I'm a machinist and I was picking apart those spacers down to the last detail of noticing they run a faster feed on the back of the spacers to help prevent them from fusing to the hub. Solid machining for sure.

Hi Zachary. Did you have to grind off any of the stock studs so your wheels sit flush? I have a 2020 Tacoma with Method MR702 wheels and looking to install the .75" spacers as well. My tires are 33x12.5x17 BFGs and they slightly rub on the mud guards when turning. Do you know if pushing the wheel and tires out will help with the rubbing or make it worse?
@zacharycaso2425
@zacharycaso2425 2 жыл бұрын
@@michaelhull7443 oh it'll make it worse. I'd just take the mud flaps off on the front. And no, I didn't have to cut the studs on the spacers. If you take a tire off, check the back of the rim in between the stud holes and if there's an indent there, you should be good!

I have an update to my original comment. I've actually upgraded my wheel spacers to 1.25", same brand, Bora. I've also added .5" strut spacers on the front which brought the front end closer to the rear, so now the front and rear have about 2.5" lift. Once I added the strut spacers to the front it pretty much eliminated 95% of the rubbing I'd get at the back of the fenderwell of the front end. It would happen pretty much any time I turned, without fail. Now it only happens if I'm fully turned and hit a large enough bump. I'm running the same tires as before as well. The strut spacers are the only change.

Great info thanks! So I have a 2021 Bronco Sport 4x4. There's seemingly a very limited amount of wheels for them to be able to provide a broader stance. I'd like the wheels to still out but most I'm finding for it run flush so I'm researching spacers. I'm looking to add some BF Goodrich KO2's which I can put on my 18" stocks that come on the Outer Banks model but I can only go about a 245/60/18 -which they do not make in the K02. The closest & widest I can put on the stock rims are 255/55/18. I wanna go higher than a 55 sidewall but with a wider tire I lose height. Hopefully you all may have some options to share as I have not even found any vids with Bronco Sports having neg offset, deeper non flush wheels & even having spacers added to gain that more aggressive look. Any pointers would be great -thanks!

@John Elliott >John, as a retired ASE master tech, I have seen many engineering changes. Some good, some not. The rear if a straight axle has a robust needle bearing for some, but it comes down to service. If you go to Rock Auto and see your front bearings as a one piece bolt on assembly, the bearing are not grease-able. This bothers me as frequent checks for looseness, noise, odd handling. Technically they are subject to higher loads as if using a cheater bar to lift something. A spring, coil over or torsion bar, the point where the lower control are mounts is the pivot. The ball joint is the length of that lever. Most “Springs” are a 2:1 ratio, so adding, say two inches w/spacer or wheel offset more negative (As seen by the wheels center) changes this load increasing it say 2.5:1 ratio. This amplifies loads on the power steering gear and all other moving parts. Some parts may wear quicker but simply put, check it more often. Since a bearing hub is sealed, it is very hard to add grease like older designs wear an inner or out bearing can be cleaned, inspected, then re-packed with fresh grease. Even in the upper Midwest, like NE., pot holes are horrible as freeze/thaw cycles create craters in the road, just going to work. As for zero scrub, draw a line thru the upper ball joint, thru the lower and raised or not, this imaginary line meets the road in the middle of the tire. This angle changes during turns know as SAI (Steering axis inclination) it is measured on a alignment rack and only if not equal, indicates a bent part! Zero scrub is engineers way of reducing friction, reducing rolling resistance and helps fuel economy. But loads are increased, mileage may drop, you get 45k out of a 60k tire (Note; Trucks have 13mm of tread / cars have 9mm new) but check more often at home, look for loose parts (Trucks have more vertical movement in lower ball joints so don’t let a shop fool you) just plan on having to spend extra money on certain parts that would otherwise last longer. All little effort on your end will keep things safe, happy plus look good. I don’t get a pension but live comfortably broke, but put high quality 2” spaces on my 1967 C10 pickup. But I have C20 (3/4 ton) lower control arms with heavier ball joints and bearing I can inspect, repack and adjust as needed because the wheel I want are not available with a deep off set. If they did, I still have the same additional forces. I hope I helped & not bored you. Just passing my knowledge on this subject. If I need wheel bearings, I spend $18.00 + seal. You spend $130 plus careful to not damage ABS sensor. Same with other parts but you have rubber LCA bushings, mine are metal. Rear bearing, seal, bearing $12 per side with adaptor & slide hammer. You have a captured bearing, requires pressed off, pressed on, cost $140 per side. I wish I could work or teach like I did for ACDelco in 4hr seminars and two day classes. But no more! Hell, I can mow the yard. Injury not related to working on cars, just stupid boss, I lost. Dude, hope I helped!

You are exactly right. Spacer with a wheel creates same additional stress on hubs as a wheel with a negative offset matching the spacer. So "don't use spacers, use proper wheel" doesn't mean that buy wheels with crazy negative offset and you are good to go.

Good day all, I have a 2021 Ranger Tremor and looking for any suggestions for wheel spacers. I am having a tough time trying to find spacers for the Tremor, just want to make sure I get the right fit before purchasing. I am looking at a max of 1.5 spacers, but would like to hear from anyone who tried spacers on the Tremor or not to do it at all?? Thanks

Slightly more wear for better performance offroad. I wouldn't run them on a racer, but offroad hell yeah for sure. If your going far enough to need spacers, you already upgraded everything else.

Look at a video of an accident that happened last week in northwest Los Angeles (Chatsworth) on the 118 freeway. It does look like spacers were on the front wheels. The left front wheel popped off, immediately rolled into the next lane and a car hit it, going into the air and flipping. That guy is lucky to be alive. If spacers were used, I wonder what was done was street legal.

I'm curious why spacers are designed the way they are, what with all the extra holes and lugs to attach spacer to hub, then wheel to spacer. Why not just have spacers with simple straight through holes, and use a set of appropriately longer lugs, so that the lug goes all the way through wheel spacer and hub. This would simplify their manufacture, and could somewhat solve the torqueing difficulties too.

If you just bought new wheels and need to adjust the offset after, YOU BOUGHT THE WRONG WHEELS lmao. Spacers can be safe and fine in a perfect world sure, but 100% you’re better off NOT using them. Flat out. It’s another maintenance point that’s not there without them. Maybe you’ll never have a problem, maybe you will. Compare how many wheels you see fall off with and without spacers and be your own judge 🙃

I recently bought a lifted 2004 Jeep liberty, and it came with a set of 17" 2016 Rubicon wheels on it, as well as questionable quality 1.5" spacers. A tire shop just refused to do an alignment and adjust the parking brake for me because they simply won't touch anything with spacers due to potential liability. I've made the decision to buy some new wheels with the correct backspacing, ditch the spacers, and sell the Wrangler wheels. Both for my sanity and my safety.
