Superman is powerful, but is nowhere close to having no equals or being straight up GOD. There are plenty of characters throughout fiction who would destroy superman in a fight. And it all depends on what superman your talking about.

For the most part, that's true. Additionally, well said. For fairness's sake though, Many of his foes are literal gods and he was once depicted as having enough power to match or at least offset true darkseid's influence. Not the singing thing, but same storyline. But there's always bigger foes and it IS true that there are bigger gods in dc and even a lot of his allies surpass him in areas he doesn't have or a few he does, although that is usually arguable.

@@danielwilson8604 eh not really arguable like the who thing with Shazam in injustice it actually was false that he could kill Shazam as his powers have proven to not effect magic and being Shazams body is legit magic his heat ray shouldnt have killed him. But ya other then that Superman himself has said Shazam is stronger and faster then him hell smarter as well. (Which was the reason people got pissed with shazams death in that game) But ya there are plenty heros and villains in DC and out of DC that can easily kill him. Hell Spawn tho mostly just a undead man would for the same reason as Shazam would kill Superman with ease as even his firearms are magic based and he was proven to kill the devil and God somthing superman cant do. Plus again his suit being made with Hell MAGIC. If we go canon wise and not plot armor superman. He is actually not that powerful at all.

@@blo0dysmiles297 i hear what you're saying, the problem is while captain marvel of dc is magical, he isn't actually MADE of magic and superman's powers can still actually TOUCH magical beings.his heat vision even works on ghosts. the given reason his DEFENSIVE powers don't work on magic is his body metabolises the energy too well for his own good, not that magic is immune to HIM. as such, magically enhanced punches still have to deal with his actual physical durability. a spell to make him weaker would work better than average but a blast of magic fire works only a bit better than normal fire since most of the attack is the fire. also, while superman has said that, he's also said the opposite (i.e that HE'S stronger) and so has billy. they USUALLY say they're evenly matched. However, that's all besides the point. my point wasn't that no one can defeat him, my point was saying "he isn't as strong as a god" wasn't accurate because half of his given foes are LITERALLY gods, like darkseid orion, mantis kalibak, arion, hercules sometimes etc and he is regularly stronger than many of them. and yes, he isn't as strong as the singular God, but God in dc is on a completely different scale to the one in spawn. the way dc works, thee's a spectum of levels of godhood. and canon wise, superman literally punched a man so hard the timeline broke (multiple times in the same fistfight) and has out-muscled new gods of strength and outrun the new god of speed and joy (lightray) as well as literally broken infinity by moving too fast and survived the heat death of the universe twice. i hear what you are saying about plot armour, but frankly that's a slippery slope which has been used to exclude FAR too much of his written history and where to draw the line can be absurdly arbitrary.

Superman is kind of a weird topic when it comes to Death Battle. Because of the specific nature of their rules of always having their characters be at maximum potential unless given specific circumstances, Superman would kind of have a unique advantage in that his max power is literally infinite by way of continually absorbing solar energy and radiation. It is how he became golden superman, he basically absorbed enough of it to effect reality itself.

For example certain cartoon characters that use things like toon force are basically deadpool but actually unkillable and reality warping beyond dimension. THey would take out quite a few in the 4 sections above them.

Superman is absolutely insane but not the craziest or anywhere near the strongest in fiction. Many feats have been exaggerated or just plain wrong. Like Superman lifting infinity.....He never did. Supes was rejected by the "infinite book" which the book itself seemed to be a hyperbole since Ultraman lifted it and read the final chapter......Superman sneezing away entire solar systems wasn't his own power, That was caused by Mister Mxyzptlk's magic dust.......Superman's power is entirely dependent on which version you use. He can be weak as hell or could be absolutely insane in power.

No, it was a book of the history of infinite universes (including our own) and he read the final chapter of THAT universe. In other words, he skipped to the end before more pages could write themselves. And it was confirmed to have infinite pages. Also, while it did reject him, it rejected him reading it, not lifting. Speaking of iron man animes, there was a iron man movie that had this female character called loume (I don't know if that's spelt right) and at the end shes wearing these 5 rings which let this demon possess her and you got tony calling out to her saying "you are loume" (still don't know of thats the right spelling) I won't spoil anymore of it (mostly cause i can't remember most the movie) but i cant remember the name of it i do remember the graphics like they were styled after anime

It looks like they did the same thing that they did with Green Lantern and other comic book characters, the merged several different versions of War Machine into one. Notice how that Manhattan sized rock is from the old comics and the breaking the atmosphere was from the new comics. Death Battle does this a lot and it can lead to some wonky results like this one and the Ben 10 fight.

Marvel does have tons on inconsistencies throughout its history since they don't have reboots they rely on retcons to change things like the war Iron Man started his career in, how old Wolverine is among other things.

This matchup didn't appeal to me like there's literally just *ONE* creator on the one punch man story vs decades of different writers on war machines and don't even mention multiverse shit, they literally pile up everything wrote about him, pick just one content creator and use only what he's made and it's a more fair fight

1 how is that fair? A single writer is just as capable of making up absurd feats in a single year as an army of writers in decades, it only takes one crazy feat to take the advantage in a category. And 2 Death Battle only used 616 (main continuity) meaning none of this had anything to do with the multiverse.

I've no problem with most of the fight except, come on, most of War Machine's arsenal is guns and bullets. Genos is immune to that level of stuff, even if we're talking about AA miniguns. Similarly, no way the human Rhodey can match Genos' speed at punching and kicking in anime style action. his suit would end up buckling like the Hammer pilot in iron man two (only on the elbows, knees and shoulder joints instead of the spine). By all means, since Vibranium's in the mix make War Machine shrug everything Genos can pull off, but don't pretend their offensive capability is the same type.

You seem to forget or not know how much damage the suit can do with blunt force also he has lasers nukes and repulsers. It doesnt matter how bulletproof you are when a suit can destroy manhatten sized mountains. Also genos has a losing record with a history of body failure lol.

Adding onto Ratchet's point, being "human" in the Marvel universe isn't the same as being human in real life. Iron Man and War Machine have consistently fought and kept up with beings FAR faster than Genos. Even those considered "peak human" like Hawkeye and Black Widow have demonstrated hypersonic reaction speeds on multiple occasions.
