One thing bothered me...Afro Samurai said that he smelled blood on Jack's sword, but Jack fought mostly robots or used it to cut inanimate objects when needed. Did he actually kill any *living* person other than Aku (who apparently doesn't have blood anyway)? Sure, Afro's sword is likely to smell of blood, but Jack's sword would smell of oil.

There was a point where Jack was tricked into killing innocent creatures because they appeared as villains to him (can't remember exactly why). It was almost the end of him there, as he all but gave up.

Okay, I'm not saying the outcome should be any different, because I know that the battles themselves are more for dramatic flair than anything, but realistically, wouldn't Jack bleed out almost immediately from having an amputation that high on his arm? I'm not a medical expert or anything, but isn't that well above the axillary artery in his arm? If so, wouldn't that be almost as severe as having the femoral artery cut on your leg.

Close..if he didn't staunch the bleeding in someway it would be possible for him to bleed out. Meanwhile Afro lost both his arms at the elbows pretty much..he has no way to staunch the bleeding at all and Jack wasn't going to let that happen. The human body can take a surprising amount of punishment and remember Jack is pretty superhuman. For reference let's look at Full Metal Alchemist, when Edward lost his arm and leg, he still bleed from the areas where they were taken and that's how he was able to use the blood from the first part taken to write the blood rune that bound his brother's soul to the armor that became his body and thus loose the other limb. Jack is a fully grown adult when he loses his arm in this battle, Edward was a small child but he was able to survive two very severe injuries long enough to get help. For all the mystic elements with alchemy in FMA the people are still pretty much the same as us here in the real world as far as durability to injury goes. I'm guessing that after he walked off screen it wouldn't be far fetched for Jack to get a fire going and use the flames to sear the wound shut...or he could pull that trick the old dude from HunterXHunter did and use his muscles to staunch the bleeding because he's that much of a highly trained badass.
