hey renegades, so I have a recommendation for you guys. there's a certain youtuber called Tearofgrace who is honestly one of the most funny and entertaining content creators I've seen over the last few years, he's kind like a British Michael Jones in that he rages hard at the games he plays and comes up with some colourful commentary. "But it's symbolic and meant stuff" a lot of movies are symbolic and have deeper meanings to them, but they do their best to keep the narrative and symbolism flow naturally together, the Matrix mostly halts it's story to give way for exposition and "Symbolic shit" that doesn't have any weight or interest.

To be fair that is not the actual devil from the comics that was a powerful demon named Malebolgia who rules in the 8th circle of hell and he actually does look somewhat like that with the extended lower jaw and such, it was still crap effects in the movie. That said Malebolgia is still not the actual devil but one of his strongest servants. The term devil is more of a title instead of a state of being in the spawn universe. Satan is the True ruler of hell and all the demons even Malebolgia must by compulsion obey Satan

Do....Do these guys not know that KNB EFX is a thing and has been for decades? Seriously, Greg Nicotero got his start as a teenager, working for George Romero. If you want to see him act on screen (kind of, he doesn't do much), check out Romero's Day of the Dead from 1985. He's one of the military guys and he dies a gruesome, disturbing death. I won't spoil how. You have to see it for yourself. He also has a bit part in From Dusk Till Dawn, which was originally conceived by Robert Kurtzman, the K in KNB EFX. :)

Okay, when I read the comics, the characters and the box art for the toys referred to him as Clown except he was transformed, but these guys and Critic call him Violator. Is he officially named the Violator and the Clown just a nickname? If so, was that always the case or was it a change somewhere.

Hi from literally years later! It's very inconsistent, but he's usually called Clown when in his fat blue form, and is known as "the Violator" when transformed into his big demon form. Doug hasn't read much of the comics, (though he has looked through some a fan sent him) so it's mostly just a misunderstanding of the names.
