The story goes that children turned into vampires can't control themselves and so kill humans indiscriminately. It is further asserted that the children can't be trained to not randomly kill every human they see, so it is forbidden to turn a child into a vampire. Since Renesmee can eat either human food or blood and can control herself, she isn't in danger of wiping out towns of humans which would draw too much attention to vampires. This is the story in the book. Never heard of it in any other book, but this is the reason given.

What confused me the most is that Bella was able to deflect Kate’s electrokinesis attack (physical attack) when clearly Bella had a mental shield (blocks mental attacks and blocks mind readers hence the name) but jasper and renesmee were able to use their powers towards her with ease

If she was an immortal child it would of been a death sentence. It is a crime to turn children into vampires because they cannot mentally or emotionally mature they are forever stuck as they were before they were turned and could not learn to control their bloodlust. They could wipe out entire villages of humans which put the secrecy of vampires in danger. Thats why they were all destroyed as were the ones who made them. Renesmee being a hybrid means she will age up to a certain point and then stop and she can survive on either human food or blood but she doesnt have a blood lust. Alice actually found another hybrid and brings him to meet the Volturi to prove Renesmee isnt a danger to vampires.

@@HeyZoeXO10 I haven’t read the books, but I’ve read the wiki and apparently he and Renesme aren’t the only human-vampire hybrids. Nahuel has some older sisters who are also hybrids. Their biological father was quite literally a mad scientist. He conducted experiments as a human and once he became a vampire, he developed a god complex and believed himself superior to humans. He continued conducting experiments and wanted to find out if it was possible to make vampire hybrids. So he seduced a human woman and got her pregnant and later died after giving birth to Nahuel’s oldest sister. He continued to do the same with other human women, until Nahuel was born. Nahuel’s father wanted to convince other vampires to make hybrids, so that his kids could have romantic partners, but they didn’t want to risk breaking the vampire laws. Then as Nahuel grew up, he became to hate his father for basically using his mother, so he stopped creating hybrids after that.

Because it’s against the law in the Twilight vampire world to change a small child into a vampire. Unlike adults, they become indiscriminate killers who can’t be reasoned with and would draw too much attention from humans. because vampire children have no restraint nor control due to their age and pose a massive threat, they cannot keep the secret, they only function on impulse. They'll slaughter anyone in sight to fulfil their blood craving as they are not mentally developed and will never be able to comprehend consequences etc. Bella's kid can grow, learn and develop and isn't frozen intime as a 6 year old with no impulse control that just wants blood, and she is happy to eat either human food or blood. She grows, develops, and learns.

Renesme will stop growing once she reaches the age of 25. The other hybrids are over a hundred and fifty years old, yet don't need blood, they can have either blood or human food, and they were naturally born from a human mother and a vampire father too. They grew to development and to the age of 25, and then stopped aging, but retained all the functions of a human that vampire's dont like eating, using the bathroom etc. Renesme can get pregnant and have children because her body can change and she isn't hard as stone like vampires are, but she wont grow old and die quickly. She'll stay 25 forever which weirdly is older than her mother lol

Janes ability is to cause someone the pain of being burned alive. Her twin brothers power is to make someone lose all their senses. This was because they were condemned as witches and burned at the stake. The flames reached Jane first and she burned in agony, whilst the smoke hit her brother first, disorientating him and making him lose all his senses. Aro reached them as Jane was burning alive and her brother was dying from smoke inhalation and had lost his sense of sight, smell, taste, hearing etc.. Aro had been interested in them as humans because they had abilities. They could bring good fortune to those who treated them well, and suffering to those who hated them. Aro reaches them as they're being burned at the stake as witches and saves them and slaughters everyone else there. They were 13 years old but he figures it's old enough to be mature enough to not be frenzied vampire kids, and when he turns them, Jane can inflict the feeling of being burned alive on another person, and Alec can inflict the disorientation that the smoke inhalation did to him. All of them had some sort of ability when human that is magnified when turned into a vampire. The trauma of being burned at the stake caused their psychic abilities to turn into pain inflicting psychic abilities, making them wthe strongest weapons Aro could have wishd for. Jane can just look at someone and inflict the pain she suffered on them, whilst Alec can cause multiple people at once to feel completely disorientated and lose all their senses.

Alice left with Jasper to search for another half human - half vampire. They left everybody to think they deserted from Cullens, probably to reduce Aro's will to fight. I couldnt find better answer to why they left like this.

Aro's main goal has always actually been to bring Alice into the Volturi because of her power. He wants Edward too, but Edward can basically do what he does just without touch- Alice's power is completely different. Precognition of what's going to happen. Renesme is kind of an excuse for them to start beef, she's percieved as a threat nontheless, but Aro just always really wanted Alice in his ranks more than anything. So Alice leaves along with Jasper as she's already seen it all play out and she doesn't want to give Aro a chance to have the upper hand or to provoke him to attack before she has the proof of others like Renesme, so she leaves with Jasper to find the other hybrids. Aro wasn't going to attack the Cullens if he thought that Alice has desserted and abandoned them so she made it as believable as possible.

In the first movie it was addressed because that's why Edward wouldn't go with the rest of the group to go to the beach to surf. From what I gathered, they CAN cross or go on their land if it's an emergency and they ask for permission first . That's why Alice and Jasper were said to have "crossed the land to the sea", they didn't stay and got permission first.

Firstly why would they do that? If she turns completely into the vampire, then she would become an immortal child which is forbidden cause they are uncontrollable. Voltury want to kill them bc they think she is an uncomfortable vampire child in the first place. Then she is fine being a hybrid half vampire half human. Tho I don't know whether she can to turn fully into the vampire. She can't became completely human, that's for sure. In the movie as far as I remember, she has vampire venom. Enough venom should change human into the vampire. Tho she probably has small amount of it, so she can't turn anyone. But she also probably can't be turned into the full vampire, since venom wouldn't be poisonous to her as she has it as well. But she doesn't have the venom in the books, so... I don't know
