This is one of the best episodes in Bleach so far! I'm still editing my reaction video. I think this episode shows Uryu and Renji at their best right now. The side characters are finally getting some main character action. Ichigo is still trash. I can't wait to see Gerard Valkyrie in battle. The MIGHTIEST OF ALL QUINCY! It's a MIRACLE what Gerard can do! His Vollstandig is going to change everything. He was stopped too soon in the manga. Uryu is my third favorite character in Bleach, but he may have jumped to my second favorite now. Dude, he can drain opponents of all their Reishi? That's crazy. Then you have Lille Barro being the neighborhood sniper (Eazy E). Lots of body bags for Quincies. This episode is insane.

I mean one thing to notice is, Jugram specifically seems to be keeping an eye on Uryu. he was observing sceptically when Uryu shot Ichigo and then even now, when Uryu went Vollstandig, Jugram was interested in that. I might be reading too much into it, but I feel there is some friction between them. Uryu as the chosen successor of Yhwach and Jugram, the closest and most loyal Quincy to Yhwach.

It was already said in the battle with Mayuri and in the battle between Ichigo and Jail's Killgeopi that Uryu was originally exceptionally strong and talented. However, he only woke up to his true potential when he met the Berserker Quincy group in TYBW. He didn't even know Brute, so he just didn't have the opportunity. And the reason why the Shinigami were easily sniped is because they can only run in this controlled field and cannot fly properly in the sky. I don't know if he will appear, but Toushirou has wings, so it will probably be no problem. In episode 33, Yoruichi's younger brother almost fell, and Byakuya explained it to us viewers last time. The captain doesn't have much of a problem even if the foothold is controlled, but the vice captain and below are the result of being heavily affected by this away. Sniper also said that in the dialogue of this episode. So when Renji went towards Uryu, he had no choice but to use Shunpo to jump using the wall instead of going in a straight line. That production also shows that. BLEACH is originally a work that features battles on a scale close to DB, so there is no slow, wall-based action like in NARUTO or Demon Slayer. Even in that state, Renji moves at high speed against Uryu to avoid his arrows, showing his extraordinary power. Don't make the mistake of thinking that the scale of the Shinigami and Kenpachi is weaker just because they move slowly, as that is what they automatically become here. Visually, BLEACH is originally a high-speed battle, but Pierrot film has made these kinds of efforts to make it easier for our eyes to understand. It will be even more enjoyable if you pay attention to how the other Shinigami overcome this unfavorable situation.

[Tidbits] - Grimmjow shows off a strange new ability, he can seemingly do a partial Resurrección which is something we’ve never seen an Arrancar do. - Many fans are missing this but for whatever reason, the Ending is reversed. As in the visuals appear in a reversed order (I have my speculations as to why, but It leans into spoiler territory so i’ll leave it be for now) - In Kluboutside we learn that the Schutzstaffel or Yhwach’s royal guard symbolizes different Era’s of war. Lille would be Present Warfare (Sniping), Gerard would be Medieval (Sword & Shield), Pernida could be Biological Warfare (Body Contortion), and Askin would be Chemical Warfare - Askin Naak Le Vaar has shown a particular pattern to how he fights, with both Mayuri and Tenjiro (0 Squad member) he attempts to goad enemies into chasing him, Mayuri was smart enough to call it out and ignore it, but here, much like Tenjiro, Grimmjow gives chase and Askin uses that to his advantage. It's interesting to see a character who has 0 shame in regards to how they approach battle, you can't even honestly call it a battle. - Renji sports a plethora of new abilities in the Anime-Only battle between he and Uryu, (Renji used his new Bankai against Mask). This is cool because many forget that Renji’s Bankai has always been an immature one, it’s supposed to take around 10 years to master, so it’s fun to see that on display. On the other hand Uryu’s new ability “Feder Swinger” is a great reminder of how scary a powerful Quincy can be, they have the power to truly dominate Reishi, which is the basic foundation of so many concepts in the Bleach world. - When Uryu takes the final shot against Renji we see a notable point of interest, it seems that Uryu directly targets Renji’s soul chain which should permanently affect Renji’s ability to boost his spiritual pressure (This is speculation, it could simply be Uryu honing in on a fatal shot or something) - Sidenote: Apparently despite the amazing production on this episode it still is one of the “Priority Episodes” - Sidenote 2: A reminder that even though Uryu has shown many impressive improvements, we’ve still yet to get an answer to what his Schrift is
