The funniest thing about this whole thing is that Renjun is technically ethnically Korean but due to historical border fights, the region where he grew up in became part of China. So his nationality is Chinese but his heritage is Korean.

For anyone asking what I'm basing this on: a lot of his childhood clips show him growing up with Korean culture (aka the infamous "Eomma!" clip). Based on my experience as a Chinese American, only ethnic minorities in China practice language and cultural traditions from their specific heritage. It is possible that his ancestry is not 100% Korean, but it seems like he was raised Korean in China. Ethnic minorities in China are a really interesting topic! Please let me know if I've made any mistakes with evidence please.
