Leading up to the battle with Magic Mommy Rennala, and listening to what Meriel said about her in the church of vows, it made me feel super bad for her. I'm positive it was more than just being left. She might have found out that Radagon was Marika, and had to rejoin her without a choice in the matter. On top of that, the unborn rune implies Rennala was pregnant until all her children became demigods the moment Radagon joined with Marika - killing her unborn child in the process

I don't think Rennala founded the House of Caria, rather she established it as a Royal House when she became a Queen. Maybe that means the moon is something like the Erdtree with it's own outer god like the Greater Will? I assumed that's why Marika was referred to as Queen, like you need to be a vessel for a god or something. Nice video - lots to think on.

A thing i noticed you might be interested in so lmk what you think of it: While I personally don't think Ranni is the Gloam Eyed Queen, it is most certain she has some ties to her. The godskins that appear physically in game are found in Dominula (a village focused on skinning), Farum Azula (blocking the way to Maliketh) and the following three places: One Godskin Noble guarding the way to Rykard in volcano manor, complete with a BlackFlame Monk in front of the church of Eiglay One Godskin Noble guarding the way to Ranni's corpse in her Divine Tower of Liurnia And one Godskin Apostle + Blackflame monk, not only inhabiting Radahn's divine tower of Caelid, but guarding the Godslayer Greatsword within. What business does a weapon of the Gloam Eyed Queen herself have being in Radahn's tower? Just some food for thought :]

I personally believe that the Item description on the beast eye is the key to tying it to the Dusk/Gloam eyed queen aka Marika the eternal. The short version is that judging from Ranni’s dialogue, we know that each Empyrean are given a shadow that will betray them if they should ever go against the Greater Will. I believe Maliketh used Marika’s own Great Rune, the rune of Death, and took that eye from her after impaling her with the crimson spear you see in the final arena. It would explain why her corpse is missing one eye and why the eye is surrounded by Marika’s stony flesh. **Takes a hit 💨 ** This eye could very well have been passed down to some of her children as well. Melina- she reveals to have the same eye, on the same side of her face, in the lord of frenzy ending. Malenia - obviously this is pure speculation but I think the rot that covers her eyes was an intentional creative decision to hide this very secret. Miquella - maybe we’ll find out in the DLC Ranni - It’s hard to tie Ranni with Marika but she does posses the same Gloam colored eye in the exact same pupil. I believe Ranni’s pupil color that she never opens is Golden. And that’s basing it from Melina and the juveniles in Rennala’s room. In fact, the golden color from Melinas right eye only changes to white in the flame of frenzy ending, after the golden order is no more. I also have this insane theory that would bring so much of the lore together and is that Ranni IS Miquella but that’s still a work in progress.. **Takes a hit 💨**

In a section of master hewg's dialogue concerning roderika, he mentions she has the same color eyes as a master spirit tuner he knew once. Roderika's eyes are blue, as are Rennala's. The Carian queen once lived in the heretical tower, which is right above the spirit tuner's cave. Of all the bosses and enemies, she is capable of summoning the widest variety of spirit ashes. Is it possible that the snowy crone she introduces her daughter to is a spirit ash? That might go some way to explaining Ranni's unusual appearance.

Awesome vid as always, but I think Radahn probably didn't dislike Ragadon, given that he seemed to take a lotta pride in the red hair he inherited from him. Calling his soldiers the Redmanes, his helmet design, etc. Also, I guess Radagon being a champion and conquerer woulda sorta been Radahn's vibe. He just didn't fanboy for Radagon as much as he did with Godfrey because, well, Godfrey seemed to be a more impressive conquerer (Radagon was "just" a champion in peoples' eyes)

My theory here is that Rennala betwitched Radagon just like she bewitched the Raya Lucarians. That just makes more sense than them falling in love during a duel. The Turtlepope's story seems more like an official propaganda that people were told, since you couldn't exactly admit that the queen consort was hypnotized. Probably Marika tolerated this for a while, or maybe she even was affected by the magic herself, since she and Radagon are the same person. But eventually she needed him back so she used her superior godly magic to break Rennala's spell, which also broke the spell over the Raya Lucarians and possibly broke Rennala's brain, all at once.

I’m always really confused about what’s going on in terms of the rivalry/stalemate between The Academy and The Carians currently in the game. My main confusion is that forces from both allegiances seem to be blended together in both The Academy and Caria Manor, which makes the lore and motivations of each group really murky. Caria Manor is a really interesting locale in that it seemingly was defended successfully from the academy according to the great sword monument we find outside of it, but at the same time it’s actual manpower in its defenses are almost nonexistent once you get inside. There’s no Carian Knights left in the manor except for that one Carian Troll Knight, and the guards that are left are severed hand monsters, Puppet Cuckoo soldiers and Lazuli Sorcerers from the academy. Did the Lazuli Sorcerers also swear allegiance to Ranni/Rennala or something? Or has the academy actually taken the manor to a certain extent? Clearly the Carian knights are just straight up gone and aren’t defending the manor where we expect them to be. Something had to happen to the majority of the Carian Knights, since there seems to be only one human knight left alive in Moongrum at the academy, and we don’t even know what his allegiances are… So Many Questions!

Well there was only like 16-19 enchanted knights ever in service and we only see one I think, the one guarding Rennalas elevator at the academy, to me that means he's her personal guard and that the caring won, or he's a defector and is on the side of the academy, or he's there trying to save heror something. As for Caria manor, it looks like it was successfully held. That troll knight backed by lazuli and two perfume bolt pages along with a shade of Loretta ,are all loyal to caria over the academy. The lazuli were considered heretics for thinking the moon should be equal to the staes

Also, I still think the large majority of all Carian Knights became lost/destroyed due to the item description of their armor: “The enchanted knights, anointed by the Lunar Queen, were heroes of the highest honors, BUT fell into disarray with the decline of the royal family.”

I believe it wasn't until Radagon reached Marika and Lyndell that he became her second half as Rennala's children became demigods after Radagon returned to the golden order as if he was already Marika's other half (before he married Rennala) then their children would have been demigods from birth as they would have been born children of Rennala (human? Medial?) And of Radagon who would have been a god if he was Marika's second half at that point since Marika was a god

If you look in some of the trailers her hands do appear to be cracking, almost like she's either decaying or not necessarily meant to keep the body for long? I don't know but there's no obvious doll like joints or appendages on her, so it looks to me, as someone who's interested in dolls, like it might be the body of Renna.
