Rennsimulator Hexatech / Cruden am Hockenheimring im " Ferrari Zelt " was der absolute Hammer war ! ! ! Laut den 2 "Admin" die das da gemacht haben bin ich am Freitag ca. 17 die schnellste Zeit gefahren - sie waren richtig beeindruckt ;-) hab in 3 min fast 3 runden geschafft !

I have one myself and if you crash it like, when you break really fast in a bike it throws you off, its like this but 2 times harder so you have to train more and not crash, good thing they have seatbelts!

It simulates the acceleration and deceleration you feel using the gravitational acceleration: If you brake, you feel acceleration to the front (relative to the car). To simulate this, you tilt the thing forward so that the gravitational acceleration has a forward component (relative to you). It simutates shorter impulses by moving the thing in the appropriate direction. What's so hard to understand?

I just tried this earlier. not this exact rig but a same one. 3 monitors. 1 seat... and moving - how ever i move the controls and its amazing played 8 laps. in 3 race hehe

OH well I guess NASA, numerous world militaries, airlines, and other private organizations that have been using the same systems for flight simulation don't know a damn thing then. Just because you're too dense to wrap your head around something doesn't mean it's improbable or impossible. These "motion sims" work and are very similar to the ones used by governments and private sector companies for training. It's very difficult to teach someone to drive/fly without teaching the "feel".

The problem with all of these F1/driving simulators is that the seat position is no where near correct if any of these developers ever sat in a real F1 race car they would quickly realize that the seat design is all wrong. When in a F1 you ass sits lower then your knees and your are almost laying down with your head just above your knees.

We do create racing simulators with actual F1 tubs, or indeed the cockpits and seating positions for any formula, sports, GT or road car, as required by our customers. For entertainment purposes, changeover and throughput time are most important. Asking members of the public to squeeze in and out of a real F1 car simulator would mean reducing the number of people that could enjoy the experience in a day (also, many of them would not fit!!).

Is it just me or does this thing seem way to floaty? It was moving way more than it should. I was unaware that F1 cars/drivers pitch up 30 degrees under acceleration. If he was playing a boat racing game I could believe this as a sim rig, but for an F1 racing rig or car in general no, not at the time of this video.

+Danny Hampton No, F1 drivers do not pitch up 30 degrees. Unfortunatly, we just don't have artificial gravity or inertia generators to simulate acceleration, deceleration and centrifugal forces, so all those seats pitch exaggerated to all sides to make use of gravity as a substitude to those other forces. When it pitches up, gravity pulls you into the chair, simulating the cars acceleration doing that. It's not 100% correct, but the closest we can get with stationary seats.
