58% of original capacity after 3 years sounds like a lot to me Theo.

I think most of these amp hour ratings are on the battery before it gets boosted to 5v. Once you take in the efficiency losses it's not really that much off(watt hours) for the good brands.

Cool little video mate 5,900mah at 5volts is respectable after 3 years I reckon. 🍺👍

❌️❌️ I bought 2 last year on black Friday. Takes forever to fully charge. I hardly used it and only lasted 7 months. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! ❌️❌️

I bought every single one of the battery banks that Renogy was selling and all of them were way under stated capacity - usually around half the stated capacity. I'm glad that they stopped selling rubbish power banks.

.... i dont know what any of that means. Maybe a quick explanationof what it was when new, what you would expect it to be now & how you test compares to that, how long did it take for that little fan to flatten it etc. Also the cost of the renogy item when new 3yrs ago. I do enjoy your videos, but this one fell a bit flat 😉

The Renogy item was supposed to be a 10000mAh power bank when new, but I didn't test this aspect in the video. The 5903mAh capacity I measured is about 59% of what it was supposed to be, indicating some loss in capacity over time. On the measuring device the fan ran for 14 hours and 10 minutes .Regarding the cost of the Renogy item when new three years ago, I’m guessing it was around $40 as these aren’t available anymore. Thanks for your feedback and Thanks for watching! 👍🍻

It would of been interesting to see what its capacity was when new. Renogy is a reputable brand, so I am surprised that its capacity is down this much since new. Great test Dino, also looking forward to the progress of your van build.

Yeah unfortunately didn’t do the test when it was first purchased new . No news on van build as yet also unfortunately. Thanks for watching 👍🍻
