The hook racks on the wall are to hang picture frames allowing one to change often and not have 1000 holes in the wall after a few months! But there are much nicer ones available now than those old school chains.

Good to see you uploading again brother. What’d you use to get such a clean cut on that tile to outline the bottom plates? That shit looked clean

I always like when important structural pieces are cut out… in my house they were really good at that in the 60’s. One of the 3 big timber frame trusses was just resting on a small wooden window frame with everything that it should be resting on taken out.

That’s the reason I bought my Makita rotary hammer years ago for removing particle board glued and nailed down. Good investment. Hi Matt! Did you see Tim and Kyle at the show in Las Vegas?

Little puzzled here. You said it's not load bearing, but you still need shear wall. Is this code for commercial or optional.

Random question on remodeling for old buildings… what do you guys do if some of the framing is true 2x6 or true 2x4? Thicker drywall?
@MattBangsWood9 ай бұрын
If we've got true dimension, we'll match one side and fir out the other with sheathing.

Those small routers are meant to take out cuts less then 1/16 of an inch at a time. Trying to cut a 5/8 sheet is asking Quite a lot! That’s like asking a kid who weighs 40 lbs to carry two packs of shingles up the ladder. Yeah it could be done…. But there are better alternatives.
