This was so fun to watch and your space looks adorable! Your styling with all the little bits and pieces really reminds me of the vibe of my Nana’s house in the early 70s…and I mean that in a good way! It’s so heartwarming to see these trends coming back, the whole place has a very welcoming, homely feel. Wishing you so much luck in your new venture, I think your guests are going to love their time with you!

If you have an extra bedroom, you might consider doing a party room that people could have birthday parties and other things. You also might try to figure out a way to still have water in the kitchen with taking the sink out, I think you might miss having water for tea and things. Everything looks great! Good luck on your new adventure!
@ShelbySherritt8 ай бұрын
Definitley lots of room for opportunity in the other rooms! There is still water in the house hahaha! We didn’t remove all the sinks, there is two other rooms with sinks. So this room we will use the counter as a register type situation and have an external kitchen like at a restaurant or other facility where the washing up area is away from the public view during the sessions. If I ever move it on I’ll pop a sink back in the bench like a kitchen! Thanks for the suggestion though this space was really thoughtfully planned out how I thought we would best use it over time and we can always change it.

Yes! A party room!!! And we used a "pottery to go for a weekend party" box for Christmas one year when my mom was too sick to go to our local studio !! So much room to grow! I'm so happy for her
@ShelbySherritt8 ай бұрын
I will reply again because you obviously didn’t read my reply to the above. I will explain again hahaha! This space is a kitchen in theory but not in practice whilst we use this space for the workshops. There are other rooms in the house 😅 two sinks and also an outdoor area to clean up. We have the sinks in the other rooms so we can clean up away from public view so people can enjoy themselves without the mess and distraction of us cleaning and make sure everything is cleaned properly! We don’t need a sink in that area.
@helgavoorneveld15308 ай бұрын
@@ShelbySherritt what a brilliant idea!! I didn't realise there was so much more space and yes it is nicer to create in a space without messyness 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

One of the most popular small businesses in our small city in Wisconsin, USA is a pottery painting studio! It's been going strong for 10+ years! You just select a little ceramic (price goes up based on size), paint it, they'll glaze/kiln it, and you come and pick up your piece a week later. They had a window display where you could see your piece when you came in, any that didn't get picked up just became part of the decor. 😆 I think they out source most of their pottery, too, so that'll be an expense you don't have to worry about! There are a lot of little ways you can customize your pottery for the public because you make your own. ❤ It's a lot of fun to do group events, too. Anything from children's birthday parties to bachelorette parties. My friend did a pottery painting night for her 30th birthday! I hope some info on how a pottery painting studio on the other side of the world does business is helpful to you. 😆 Good luck!

Hi I thought you would have bought mixed and matched chairs from second hand shops to upcycle them in pastel colours rather than new chairs. It looks gorgeous once you had finished . Is it an actual cottage that you have bought with bedrooms, bathrooms etc?? Congratulations on your success in this New Venture. You deserve to succeed after all the hard work you, your partner and staff put into saving, getting all the rooms looking fresh and soothing. Can’t wait to see these every week x❤🐝🐝💐

I honestly wanted to but unfortunately everyone now sells these chairs for more than new in terrible condition and I would have had to spend months upcycling them to get them to a ready stage. Which then pushed back opening! I think I might look into mix match in future but these chairs are super comfy 🌟 same thing happened with the tables! So hard to get them cheaper than new and in a safe useable condition these days 🥲
