No dry wall tape between the joints, your cement will crack👍

we did use drywall tape, you can see it at 11:19 in the video. it's been a couple of years and so far no cracking yet

Curious how the paint is holding up. You didn’t prime the drywall prior to painting. May still look fine but that paint def didn’t adhere.

I read online that for fresh drywall, the substrate actually absorbs the paint so adhesion isn't really the issue. The issue becomes coverage since the paint gets absorbed away from the surface, so we just added extra coats lol but to answer your question, so far so good ish, I mean we didn't do a spectacular job to begin with lol, but the paint isn't flaking so far!
