Renovation Updates: Building A Wall For the First Time // Renovating an Old Colonial House

I felt it was time for me to close up this space after thinking about it for so long. When we opened up the wall, I was forced to have a column that has been giving me a headache. This wall has caused me sleepless nights and I have finally fixed my eyesore problem. I wanted the back door and the front door to not be in view of each other and this was solution was just it.m
For the first time ever i decided to build a wall using gypsum aka drywall. it was quite the learning experience and I am very proud oh how i did.

Muthoni's problem solving skills are on another level. Like figuring out that attaching the bottom board first will help support the top part on the other side of the wall. You do so much with so little equipment. Watching you build stuff is so inspiring.👏👏👏

How would it get wet though? It's a wall. People build walls with these boards all the time... it's what people call drywall. It's not near any water...

I enjoy watching your DIY's. You didn't want to make the wall(MDF) flash to the original wall, by using little pieces of wood round the edge of the original wall to anker yhe MDF to and use filler to make it seemless ? This may sound creepy but invite me, i can assist you with the DIY's 😂

I think I mentioned in the video what my intentions for the space is. MDF would be bulky and expensive to just get a wall... doesn't make sense.
